Aurelia is stunning and full respect for the roof chop
Just dropped my Cayman off at RPM Technic for some work, must say really do like their CSR's in the flesh, this one caught my eye, if funds allowed would be good to see what they could do with a 987 Croc

Morning chaps.
Went to Bicester Heritage yesterday to collect a car......what an amazing place!! A proper eerily, magnificent and emotive location with car workshops & showrooms tucked down random little nooks and crannies.
I've seen plenty of pictures over the last year or so of their various open day type events et al which look fab so we will be taking a few cars along to the next one but it was perhaps even better (nay, more special) to see it au natural as it were.
For example;
whilst sorting paperwork a Lamborghini LM002 trundled past, in the workshop opposite a 996 was being stripped & fettled, in a showroom/workshop next door sat two 356 Speedsters and a Martini 'grale Evo. Then there was the various pre war cars being run and worked on, a race prepared MG Metro awaiting work plus many other old school trad style car workshops nestled in the restored outbuildings and hangars.
Was really Loon heaven, really was.

Both Vauxhall 30/98
The lower/smaller one would have looked like the one on the left originally but was built as a racer/special by then current VSCC (Vintage & Sports Car Club) President as it sits now.
Both are equally gorgeous and were the first 'supercar' of the day, known as Bentley beaters and are proper 100mph cars. Outside of the tweedy circles they are criminally overlooked.

This was probably my favourite car of the show. The actual Stirling Moss 250SWB. Just stunning. 250SWB is possible my all time favourite car. And this was a RHD Competition version with the SEFAC hot rod engine. And raced by stirling Moss. Just awesome.
250SWB... the most beautiful front engined car of all time for me... and that one must be one of the most desirable of them all!Fast Bug said:
Love 356's... Jerry Seinfield sold one a few years back that's my favorite. A 1963 356 2000GS/GTBit of an eclectic week for me...
Started at 9am last Sunday in Plymouth, and not car related for once... 3 of us took my mates boat down to Baiona in Northern Spain.
3 days 15 hours, 560nm of mostly trouble free down wind sailing... just one 'moment', when the wind unexpectedly picked up at night... and a 34knt gust Chinese gibed us, wrapping the kite round the forestay in the process, and resulting in me having to go on foredeck in the pitch black and lashing rain to sort the mess out.
Got back Friday night, and Saturday morning headed up North to have lunch with family. Lovely MK1 RS2000 in the pub car (sorry no photo). After lunch, went to see a very old friend of my brothers, who has a simply stunning 1932 Rolls. He's in his 80's, and still drives it pretty muhc every day. It's a 6 cyl, and he's traveled extensively through Europe in it - says it will do 65-70 on the motorway, and is 100% reliable.
Left Derbyshire at 10.30pm... 190 miles and 2hrs 20mins later arrived in Maldon, Essex. 2 thoughts... 1) driving late at night is ace & 2) our Touareg might not be exciting in any way, but it's a fabulous long distance car - big, fast, comfy and quiet.
Used my borther-in-laws Tesla to get to the golf club this morning... the novelty of its acceleration never wears off - from a standing start, and as an over taking tool, it's simply immense. It's done 36k now, will be 3 years old in December, and we spent a good amount of time debating replacement options... current short list is another Tesla (P100D), a new M5, or a Panamera Turbo... I'd be happy with any of them!
Got back from golf and had a spare hour, so we took the DB11 out for a hoon.
It's a lovely thing (much prettier in the metal than in photos), and this is the 1st time I've had opportunity to drive it 'properly'. Seems a bit daft to say this, but despite having 600bhp, it doesn't feel that fast when you've just got out of a Tesla. However, it makes a fabulous noise, and it's obviously much, much nicer to drive. Having said that, driving 'quickly' on rural Essex B roads does show up its limitations as a sports car - it's got a fabulous front end, but the rear doesn't feel anywhere near as tied down as his previous 991 GT3. You have to be much more careful getting the power down and the damping is no where near as effective... it can feel a bit bouncy over rough/bumpy sections. But as an all round GT car, it's simply fabulous.

That's lovely. I know very little about pre war tin bar Model A/B as I love hot rods. Lately though there's been a few early cars that have caught my eyeChris Stott said:
