Also went to FoS yesterday; I've never been on a Thursday before but one of my brothers had some tickets so we went along. He'd been before with our dad resulting in the old boy piloting a Twingo up the hill a couple of years ago.
Therfore I was expecting something more akin to a motorshow parade rather than what is in fact just another day (with less people - think fridays of old) with more emphasis on Supercars rather than all of the paddocks but there were still some great cars going up 'Top picks'. I suspect that next year there will be a 'Motorshow' day starting on the Wednesday.
Along with so much incredible machinery a few highlights were the grey 959, a red F1 with doors and engine lid open (turboterrifics?), a lovely plexi-glass Daytona and the new Range Rover Sport Coupe which to my eyes looks reallly really good.
Less good is the new Rolls large car. Even though the rear quarter has shades of Lancia S4 it's not enough to stop it looking very odd.
Also very impressive is JLR's stand with the gymkana bit, area for kids with small Series 1 electric cars, RC 110s on an assault course, tyre shredding F-types (if you are going get a lift in the green one and ideally be female as he tries harder) and an RC Jaguar race track.
Something indeed for everyone.

Drivers internal door pull looks well worn.
997 GT2 RS specified from new without air conditioning, stereo, and with the lightweight headlights and battery. Can't be many spec'd like that around.

I had a Civic VTI for a 4 day test drive back in early '96... they were on my company car list and I was considering getting one. Fabulous engine, and pretty decent handling - though I did manage to set the brakes on fire whilst taking my brother for a hoon down some country lanes in deepest, darkest Derbyshire
Ended up getting a Subaru Impreza instead... which turned out to be one of the best cars I've ever had.
