Er, no. I've owned both. And the Preludes rot something chronic.A Beat is more Mini NSX than the Prelude ever will be.

That's spooky, was looking at Beats/Cappuccinos the other day......
Have you driven one?
Sadly not. I did go looking for a Beat back in the day but I never chased one down. They've always been really rare.Have you driven one?
I'd still like an AZ1

Never driven one myself, but I'm sure I remember LJK writing wonderful things about a Prelude in CAR magazine donkeys years ago... one with 4WS, IIRC.
LJK was a big fan. He was not alone. They were good cars in their day. Great engine, nice 'box and a capable chassis (for a FWD). Not in the same vicinity as an NSX though. Did I mention they rot?!I love some of the JDM stuff, a long time ago before children, rubbish exchange rates and prices going crazy I bought numerous Figaros, original Cubes, Paos and Will VI fresh off the boat and sent them out to Germany and Austria in exchange for air cooled Volkswagens. So many road trips to Vienna in a Figaro and coming back in a Beetle or Type 3.
I need another road trip!
I need another road trip!
There was a fabulous little yellow Beat at the Le Mans classic Friday service, looked great but dwarfed next to everything else. I suspect the owner is on here, cant say I have seen another in the wild.
The fabulous weather prompted a quick drive in the Caterham, I have to say I have kind of fallen in love with the whole experience and rawness of it, what a thing they are.
Looking forward to a hopefully milder Silverstone classic this weekend, Le Mans classic was savagely hot but fabulous.
In other news, really want a 1600 HF... still.
