You had a Brabus E class? ears
That interests me because they also tinkered with mine

Hi Chris,

Ours was a D6 (based on a 320 Cdi Sport). I'm assuming yours is a K8? Would have preferred petrol, but they all seemed to be based on AMG products and they don't have type approval for towing which we need....rolleyes

Ours had the full style kit, exhaust with 4 outlets, Brabus map, under sill lights etc etc which had been fitted from new by Merc down in Birmingham. It was reckoned on giving around 278bhp/445Lb Ft which for an old derv was pretty good going with a wee bit of rumble from the Brabus quad exhausts. we loved it as the family truckster, caravan on the back, 4 bikes on the roof, another in the boot with the mutt and 5 up and it would waft along at 55mph all day long in lots of comfort and after 4 years it is missed. The time had come to spend money on it, or move on and as a daily driver/school run mobile it didn't make sense to spend anymore for us.

As to your '944 S2' moniker, I had one of those too!! Guards red, linen leather and cup 1's, had a ball on the NC500 4 or 5 years ago in it.

Your Masser is just lovely and must be a very special thing to have.

IIRC the E39 wasn't Bangle; A quick google suggests it was Joji Nagashima.
Surely the E60 was Bang on the Bangle era - see what I did there. My poor old 550i touring is now apparently worthless even though it almost works perfectly and has a massive - ok just reasonably large - v8 engine. They're such a lot of car for the money. Hopefully everyone will wake up to Bangle soon and prices will shoot up. In the meantime the old girl just keeps on trucking.

I guess we all have a car that's our 'money no object' dream car... this is mine.

1 of 11 RHD SWB, and 1 of 6 with a steel body... I would guess c.£10 million... it will forever remain a dream.

Looks nice Chris, if I win the lottery I'll buy it and let you have a spin if you fit in it!

There's a few of us going up to Bicester for the Scramble next month if you fancy coming along? I think it's on the 7th

I can get in a 250 biggrin

I sat in Nick Masons GTO at Goodwood some years back... it's the mid engined and 2 seater stuff with a bulkhead that I can't get in.

7th October works for me.... will try to get the new suspension fitted by then smile

Amazing.

Honestly when I clicked the link the number I had in my head was £50k......

It's nothing more than a museum piece, exhibit, curio whatever but there's no at least one person will want that badly.

Yeah, a K8 with a standard AMG bodykit, and luckily not the Brabus exhaust which is a 6 tip monstrosity hurl

The 944 was my first interesting car, also in guards red, that was about 15 years ago now.

Very, very sexy.

Can't help wondering if it would be more of a money pit than the Porsche though laugh
Yeah, but it's cool as fk.
The biggest issue is that some parts are tougher to find that unobtainium. Running costs, other than the timing chain that is a 40hr engine out job, are perfectly reasonable.

Has anyone got any experience of these? I'm in the market for something similar, but haven't driven one, nor really have a feel for values/prices.
