Hello boys and girls
Long time etc. Hope you're all doing well. Life (or more importantly, my three kids) has been getting in the way of late, but I hope to rectify this by the latest acquisition, avec the all important P30 Performance Pack
Three kids - you've been busy then! (Congrats)Long time etc. Hope you're all doing well. Life (or more importantly, my three kids) has been getting in the way of late, but I hope to rectify this by the latest acquisition, avec the all important P30 Performance Pack
In other news I saw a Brabus V8 G-Wagen in London today - with right hand drive. I didn't think there were any recent G-Wagen V8s in RHD?
Basically I'm curious as how expensive this car must have been. Probably quite considerable given the amount of plastic surgery the blonde female driver had had.

You've been able to buy right hand drive G Class for a few years in 350d and 63AMG flavour. They did a heavy facelift/revision of it recently, silly money for what they are, but really good fun off road
Ah, I knew about the 350d but not the 63. Whereas the earlier G55 was LHD only?I sometimes see 350d's around and am impressed/staggered that there have been people buying them new the past few years given they are £80k+?

The car that truely hammered home the lesson to me - never bloody listen to "enthusiast" opinions on ph!!
Feeling brave? This former press car now has a total of 193,000 miles on the clock.
Yours for potentially as little as £6000, though...

Buy it, blast around, blow it up then break it for spares.

Perhaps, perhaps not. Depends what is has done and what it has had done. There may be a history file an inch thick of all the invoices for work done throughout its life to reassure, there may not. Either way, do you feel lucky?
There's bound to be someone in the US with 200k+ miles on one but I think even if that's been well cared for you're heading into end of life territory on numerous, potentially expensive, parts. A press car will not have had an easy start to its life.
Given the powertrain is the valuable bit if you came to break it then there's not much value to be had there.

The MOT history on that is a bit sparse...
Pass on the 11th of September 2017 @ 190,867 miles, no advisories
Pass on 20th of September 2018 @ 190,906miles, no advisories.
Nothing else listed.
Would that just be a symptom of it having been on a private plate before that? I’m not sure how clever the mot data is at catching up. Pass on the 11th of September 2017 @ 190,867 miles, no advisories

That Caterham I posted a few pages back had a similar MoT history - but I sensed that was probably due to a few more interesting years as a racing car...
