That’s an unusual spec B7. I’d say the Recaro buckets are a must. So comfortable.
Original 14 spoke wheels are nicer to my eyes too, but it’s a great sleeper. These are probably the winter wheel option and as such there’s a restricted variety of tyres for the size.

I bought one a few weeks ago, same year. That doesn't make me an expert, but if you've got questions...

That looks lovely! Tremendous colour, one I'm looking at is silver which is a bit... meh, but it's a good deal so not the end of the world.

What spec is your one, engine?

Yeah I'd found that video.

Reg of the car I saw was something like C2 KPA. It's not right going by the mot check but there can't be many about with a similar reg!

Don't know much Audi rims but have looked at a few RS4s. I've never seen those wheels on one before - some sort of S-Line rim off a lesser model? The offset on the rear looks off either way.

January's Scramble tickets are now on sale

Anyone fancy going if the weather isn't too bad?
I'm in... get back from the Bahamas on the Friday, so a thrash up to Bicester should shake off the last of the jet lag biggrin
Just booked my ticket I’ll be there in my 996 C2.

Cheers
Where in the country are you Chris? Mr Stott and I are fairly close to each other, so assuming we'll meet up on the way and we could meet up with you if you like?

Any other threadists fancy going?
I’m Wiltshire based, so I would normally go A420 then A34, more than happy to meet up depending on which direction you are coming from. I could also go M4 then A34.

Cheers
There's a petrol station just off the A34 a couple of miles away from Bicester heritage we could meet there smile

The wing backed buckets were stolen a lot. This results in the car being written off. Audi were changing 20k to replace a pair. Depending on where you live this may be a concern.

Should be going along. Probably not in the Mercedes though as it has electrical gremlins...again.

I wonder if these are less prone to autoelectrical annoyingness?

Not the most exciting but going to look at a 2012 jag xf tomorrow, 3 litre diesel V6.

Considering my other car is an old drift spec E36, I don't know what my neighbours will think hehe
Rather annoyingly, the car sold as I was away to leave the office this morning to have a look/put a deposit down! Only went online at the weekend, too.

Now there's no similar mileage/age ones for sale within budget & can't think of anything that'd be an equivalent below 10K.

That's a bugger frown

Is there an advert for it somewhere I can have a nose at?

Surely, It's Arnold Shark but seems a genuine car, got sent thorugh a video this morning, couple kerb marks and stone chips but nothing major that I can see.
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Really struggling to find something similar, got hyped up due to the modern spec and low mileage of that. It's only 2 minutes up the road as well, finding anything reasonably priced or for sale in Aberdeen at all is a rare occurrence. Only 26 but I've a horrendous back, can't drive my E36 a huge amount as it's a pain in the ass, and my girlfriends MINI is tiring and very harshly sprung. Wanting something comfy and auto with a bit of 'oomph' for going through town, down to glasgow and back etc.

That's a lot of modern 'waft' for £9.5k.

Still looks like £40k of car imo

It is, and after seeing that one, the pre-facelift cars don't do anything for me rolleyeshehe even though I've no doubt they would do just as good a job.

Does look nice. Perhaps try and console yourself with the fact it's the base trim for an XF so is down on toys. It's also perhaps a bit too cheap?

Oh and it doesn't have the super-adjustable sports seats which you'd probably need for that back of yours.

That's what I'm telling myself! Will be keeping my eyes peeled for another, though.

If anyone has any suggestions of something similar that'd tick the boxes for less than 10-11k let me know!

If I go to the 1-5k barge thread, I'll end up bankrupting myself with a v12 7 series or something hehe

I can sympathise. After the best part of a year of perfect behaviour my 124 has started doing strange things. I sense it may be wiring loom replacement time...
