Do like a carbon air box
I picked up a new tow car yesterday. Had about an hour in it between picking up from Watford Audi to dropping off at GT Towing in Hatfield to get a tow bar fitted, and first impressions are that it should do the job ok.
First test should be later this week when the race car goes to the paint shop.

Be interesting to see how it tows. Did something similar last year with an A7 (Bi-TDi) and itI picked up a new tow car yesterday. tows the caravan just fine. Couldn't go S7 as they are all just 4 seats and I need 5... Its refined
but still a derv-mobile.
Sticky.
Apropos of nothing, but I just heard a BMW advert on the radio... "for £39, we'll top up your fluids and wash your car"
£39??!!
Not only do you have to drive to a dealer, but then they relieve you of £39 for probably a minuscule amount of oil and a car wash. Jeez, money for old rope and all that. Or are we really all that lazy / clueless these days?

£20 for an "inside, outside boss" at the local handscratchwash, so double that for a change of washer fluid, coolant, brake fluid, engine and gearbox oils seems pretty fair VFM...£39??!!

That aside, they used to do free winter checks Dec-Jan, which included all of that and gave you some de-icer, 0.5l of concentrated screenwash, a scraper and windscreen cover - still got mine!

It's not a change of fluids, it's a top up...That aside, they used to do free winter checks Dec-Jan, which included all of that and gave you some de-icer, 0.5l of concentrated screenwash, a scraper and windscreen cover - still got mine!

Were you there?https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic/saturday-2...
I went along - great day out for a fiver. A wonderful range of stuff. Absolutely rammed with people though.
Sadly came home empty-handed... must try harder next time!

VW wanted £60 to replace the windscreen wiper, £150 to re-gas the air conditioning and £600 to replace the brake pads (that are 60% worn) on my Touareg when it went for a service in November. £39??!!

Pfft. A colleague was quoted AED7000 (over £1500) for a pad change on his jag xf last week. I picked up a full car set for him at the weekend and will fit them one lunch hour next week, £48. It's a 3 year old car.
This might have been seen before but this is an Evo video of a track battle between a Caterham 160 and a Morgan 3-wheeler. As well as being a good reminder of how lower powered cars can be a lot of fun I found it quite hilarious watching Henry Catchpole getting blown about while giving these cars a great little thrashing around Mallory.
