Anyway, thread purchase alert. Slightly impulsively I have acquired something semi interesting with a thirst for super (11 empeegees in traffic) and disproportionate bork potential (timing chain tensioners anyone?). Lord have mercy on my wallet. Sounds nice though.
Prize for correct guess is TBD but unlikely to extend beyond self-sooth of smugness. Hint: Very same car featured on PH a few years back as belonged to another PHer.

Boot with all manuals and mb spares nice to see
Everything works as it should and other than the front bumper needing setting the body is perfect with no signs of damage or paint, but its an auction so i couldn’t drive it.
It revs cleanly but not past 4k in neutral, is this standard? There’s a vibration at idle which can be felt from the seat but is too fast/minor to pick up on cam. There was a spare maf in the boot, need to read up on what it could be. Also need to check the vin to make sure its genuine, all the details like clocks, service labels etc point to genuine but couldn’t see the amg plaque on the engine. Its an Sl55 btw, the cl600 was also mega but this is more so and i want it baaaaaad!
Any ideas/help on both the vibration and vin?
