COO 1 used to be owned by The Racing Pigeon newspaper back in the 80`s, they had 92 COO as well.

Both cars should be able to find their own way home, I would say.

That's fast becoming the most transferred single single.

I do keep meaning to update the site as it's long overdue. Hope to do this week.

I saw AAA1A on a Volvo this week. Anyone know if it was released in 63 (presumably with some fanfare) or is it a more recent DVLA auction sale?

Sold via DVLA auction in July 2007 for £3700 + fees, nice plate.

This car had been kicking about in Aberdeen for a long time now. The local newspaper posted it after spotting it yesterday and the Facebook comments kicked off.

A lot of naming and shaming for bad driving and illegal parking. It was then pointed out that a car can only be used for 6 months before having to be registered to the UK. The owner then said he was a student and that allowed him to keep the car for the duration of his stay.

Is he legal? Given the comments by other people it sounded like he didn't give two hoots about driving laws and hides behind the foreign plate.

Hampshire's first suffix numbers were in January 1965 with AAA-C, one of the last to change over.

Saw A 911 yesterday on, unsurprisingly, a Porsche 911. No opportunity to get a photo, but that's a good plate, I must say!

Porsche UK used to have it (they probably still do) Along with 911 GB, and 911 HUL. But I've not seen those ones for a while.

I saw 911 HUL coming towards me a year or two ago. I believe it was on a silver 991.1 Turbo S at the time.

A 911 is used on the Porsche UK press cars. 911 HUL only goes on the Porsche UK 911 Turbo/Turbo S.
