I got one at the auction, for the exact amount of my absentee bid. It was an odd amount also. What are the odds?
Perhaps your bid that was greater than the previous one was less than the incremental bid increase?

If the bids go up in £100 increments and you leave a bid of £2,175
Bidding goes £1900, £2000, £2100 (underbidder)
Your bid of £2175 is next, rather than £2100

I'd guess you put in a top figure just over a round number and the opposition gave up on the round number. As you intended? That's how I got one when I left an absentee bid anyway. smile

It was a £200. I shouldn't complain, I was prepared to go double what I got it for so I am quids in.

When you make a request, do they let you know which auction it'll be in, or do you have to look for it in every one?
They said they would let me know , they haven't and I check every Dvla auction.

With spelling mistakes like that (bidder) you wouldn't know if you were buying Princes or Princess St. laugh
