Perhaps your bid that was greater than the previous one was less than the incremental bid increase?If the bids go up in £100 increments and you leave a bid of £2,175

Your bid of £2175 is next, rather than £2100

I'd guess you put in a top figure just over a round number and the opposition gave up on the round number. As you intended? That's how I got one when I left an absentee bid anyway. Small Car said:
