OO0# ### Plates, like MUM, DAD, BO55, MI55 and XXX kissy kissy plates whilst legal, are nevertheless a bit crappy imo and appear to be invariably owned by a certain type of throbber/Walter Mitty exuding a touch of narcissism about themselves.

Brightwells are currently auctioning OLD 1, due to end this Wednesday.

They are my initials and current bid is £17k+ which I'm glad of as it's my ultimate grail plate and thankfully way out of my budget! hehe
Ended last night at a cool £38K + VAT. smokin

WRC 1 was on a Subaru Impreza WRC STI; I used to work with him and he’s massively into the WRC; when I knew him he used to go and watch them abroad. I know he regularly attends Goodwood FOS as he gets a press pass due to the quality of his photography of WRC cars
I met him at the German round of the WRC not long after he'd bought the plate...as you say a real rallying fan!

How much was MAX1E when it was released ?
It isn't an Auction release... so presumably an original 1960's issue...
Yep, free to a lucky punter in Monmouthshire, 1967.

Major kudos for correct spacing and non butchered 5 to S.

Wow - sold for only £3500, I guess that is a minimum ten fold return on investment.

Definitely something fishy about the low price it went for.

Although I'm shore the winning bidder had a whale of time celebrating his catch smile
