Quite some time ago (About 40 years nearly) a local small taxi firm (Creswell N E Derbyshire had an old style Mini (It was then the actual model) In Royal Blue with the plate ATW 1 T (No fancy spacing, or anything just the plate it was delivered with) Anybodt know what happened to it?
I'm afraid your memory must be letting you down (happens to us all)... but ATW was never issued with a T suffix. It was issued with S and X suffixes, but by Essex

He hasn't... he's put " 1 ADA " on his Bentley which presumably are his initials and I bet he was delighted if he was the one who purchased it in 1994 for £3300...

P13 OFF on a mini. Surprised the DVLA let that through.
Eh?

Why wouldn't they.

It does spell anything.

Unless of course you have Chav plate pretensions.

Yes i agree.. nothing wrong with the plate.. but if someone wants to read something into it in their own minds... says more about them than the plate...?

i never said it was a Derbyshire registered vehicle, And my memory on that specific plate has not failed me, but obviously they were running an illegal plate.

That said stranger things can happen, I know of at least 1 vehicle running for almost a full year from new, before it was found not to have been fully registered. It was then done right and now carries a plate letter 1 year newer than the vehicle.

Bit of an odd one, Ive seen a Ford Fiesta being driven several times in the same area wearing the plate JO 1978 but it doesn’t check out properly?

Thought it was a quite smart plate for a name and birth year but wondering if somethings not right with it?

You’d be right, that’s on a blue fiesta. Not sure why I didn’t think of that.

It also has a questionable italic style font so it’s definitely worthy of the other thread!
