I recently bought the Ferrari Disc shoes. Have to admit...they're bloody comfortable, and really easy to slip on and off.

I've had Drift Cats, Future Cats, and High Tops.....these are the best so far. Bit pricey, as I think they're quite a new range...but worth it imo, since I pretty much wear them everyday now

Never mind. Something else will come along that drivers of GTi versions of boring family saloons can wear to the pub to let everyone know that, to them at least, driving is so much more than just getting from A to B.

Sometimes the right shoe is appropriate. If you have ever driven a kart you will have noticed that the accelerator and brake pedals are basically a metal bar each. Driving/racing for any extended period of time would cause fatigue with a soft soled shoe, so a kart boot with a stiff sole is the perfect shoe in that circumstance.

This thread has reminded me that when I had my elise I wasn't able to operate the pedals straight. At 6 foot my knees were hitting the back of the steering wheel (I should have put a spacer on it) but it ment I was pressing the edge of the pedal and needed a shoe with a hard sole.

I bought a pair of Sparco time 77 shoes to drive the elise, I don't think I have worn them since I sold it. I also have two pairs of kart books and would certainly not wear them the pub and they are a pain to walk in.
