That really is a thing of beauty. As with others on here, the V8 Vantage was the Aston that really figured on my radar during my formative years so this is very special.

Mind you, I think I'd've asked the AM Works boys to straighten out the gear knob before they sent it out the door... smile

Just noticed the handbrake too. You must have to have your face pressed against the steering wheel to release that! eek

Why? It's a fly-off handbrake but I don't get your point?

Beautifully restored and one of my favorite Aston Martins. Sometimes the classics can't be beaten.

Looks very similiar to the Mustang II.

In the same way that Jordan looks similar to Cara Delevigne.

This is the kind of car that the word 'glorious' is completely appropriate for. I'd take it over the later forage any day.

I remember as a kid these being my dream car that I'd probably never own. Then I saw a kit car magazine with a Capri based copy that I thought looked great - any idea what kit car that might have been?

That's the one, thank you - my tastes as a kid weren't that great after all.

I have photos of GYV 868W Aston Martin V8 taken in 1980 at the Sanctuary, Houses of Parliament. Is this car still around?
