I'm sorry to say that I don't like the interior and especially exterior. Too fussy all round. I expected better.

Very fussy exterior, looks overstyled and will date far quicker than the DB9 etc.

Autocar have a review out as well, where he says it's the best AM he's ever driven.

I think he's referring to the outer-most interior vents. They do look a bit odd; that might just be an oddity of the angle the pictures is taken from, though.

I know most will disagree but I just don't think it looks very nice. At all. Really quite disappointed. For that money I'd much rather have a Maserati Granturismo MC Stradale, or a Mercedes S63 Coupe - or stick a few more quid in and get a used Ferrari F12. I know I'll probably be in the minority though! (Or even the refreshed Bentley Continental GT!)

I'd take this over anything. I just think it's stunning. Super excited about the forthcoming V8 Vantage replacement too - I imagine that'll possibly be even nicer.

That's lovely, but I think the design is just a tad too fussy compared to the DB9, not that my criticisms will trouble Aston of course!

The metallic orange posted above is amazing, though cool
I have to agree.

The DB9 GT takes my breath away whenever I see it. I hope this works better in the metal.

Truly sounded epic when the pre-production model rolled in to Oulton park the other week, really has a wide stance to it, the 295 width tyres really are thrown out wide as far as possible.

Driver/passeneger confirmed the interior is on another level to what AM have done previously - good luck to them hope this is the baton being passed on to the next gen of cars from them.

Ah right, yes, interior. I wasn't thinking of that.

What a gorgeous thing, love that model shown above - very colour sensitive I'd say.

I think that highlights my original point. Typically people that like Ferraris will not like Astons. Personally I don't like Ferraris, Bentleys are gross and sadly think the Masser Graturisimo is so oversized that it's ugly (I loved the 4200 with the banana rear lamps). Can't remember what the Merc looks like but I expect it's a design in the image of the 300SLR.

Astons problem is that the DB7 regarded as one of the best looking cars in the world, ever. No one thought they would be able to top that, but they did with the DB9.

The beauty of the DB7 and DB9 designs were their elegant simplicity. The DB11 is too fussy in its design, and while it is a good looking car, it will never be as highly regarded as it's predecessors, looks wise at least.

I like that a lot; it's got hints of retro-futurism to it. A dinner jacket with polished stainless knuckle-dusters.

The stitching and rear 3/4 view I think are my highlights.

FI and Auto? No thanks. At least they resisted the urge to make it AWD.

Let's really hope the new V8 Vantage doesn't follow suit.

Yep.
I don't like this
I like the fact it's (clearly) an Aston, I like the generic long bonnet swept back cabin, the slim lights and I LOVE the aero trickery...
Other than that, it's a step backwards in style and class.
I saw this:

And wondered if Aston had leant them the new semi-SUV DBX thing to drive in.
Now I'm mot suggesting this needs stretched tyres and masses of negative camber.
But it is missing a stance that the DB9 and especially the DBS had in spades!

Once corrected you still have an overly fussy, late to the trend following floating this and contrasting pillar that (optional I know but still).

Aston, I'm available as a consultant, right now, I can give up my shelf stacking day job up anytime you're ready hehe

That was the 3200 thumbup

Anyway, front works, looks good and very Aston Martin. The front 3/4 angle works especially when it's not in Jewish Racing Gold. For me, I really don't like the long strakes behind the front wheels, or the C-pillar cut out, the profile looks a bit chubby at the rear, and not in a good way, and then the rear view I'm really not a fan of.

I look forward to seeing one in person though, as pictures don't do some cars justice. Good to hear it drives well and so on, hope it's a big success for them. Plus I'm not going to be a customer any time soon so my opinion on the styling is largely moot!

It's a grower.

Wasn't sure at first but it looks great in these pics.

It's no sports car at 1800+kg but what a perfect GT.

Only thing I am not liking is the seat patterning, and that really is nit-picking.

Good to see Aston have finally broken the DB9 mould. Those who are saying the exterior is fussy and will date have missed the point. Changing the flourishes gives the designers plenty of scope for facelifts that will actually make the car look different in future. The fact that most of the rear-end is made up of the bumper moulding makes that bit much easier to re-engineer. Front wing cutouts?! Just change the entire pressings!

For too long Aston have been criticised for releasing a string of models that look identical style-wise. They do something about it and people still complain.... rolleyes
