You're not really comparing like for like here - a modified ST vs a Standard S1. A Revo map on an S1 takes it to well over 300bhp.
I'd consider it fair as you can order a Mountune upgrade installed straight from the Ford dealer without compromising any warranties etc. It's no different to a JCW mini really.

It will be again a boring car.

No mechanical diffs on the quattro system and full of Electronic Ediffs which brakes the spinning wheels instead of doing it mechanically!

I have an RS3 i passed it thru to my wife after i was in sweden with the car. I really got bored with the electronic diffs braking the spinning wheels. The understeer it has, no manual handbrake.
Love is.....

Any more rumours ? For the likely premium over an S1 I hope it's more than just a remap.

im well aware of autocars reputation. It didn't seem to be only autocar reporting it so I thought there maybe some truth in it.

Quite enjoying my S1 as a cheap winter run around. Shame if it is just a rumour could have fancied an RS version.

I don't think an S1 qualifies as a cheap winter runaround - it probably costs more than all my cars combined! It's probably only 'cheap' if you're a millionaire - props if you are!
Nice car though

No recent news about this, are Audi still going to make the RS1?

Not as far as we know.

The S1 hasn't set the sales world alight, and the RS version wasn't going to be significantly different. So maybe wait till the new A1 and then they "might" ditch the S version for an RS one

Er, yes - exactly. Would be nice BUT that's if it ever appears. But, TBH, at over £30k???
I do like the look and sound of this in 3 door manual flavour. £30k isn't that ridiculous in the grand scheme of expensive hot hatches... £45k for an A45 AMG... It just makes the Fiesta ST and Focus RS seem all the more bargainous.

If they make it, they will sell a decent amount and will probably hold it's value reasonably well like other RS models.
Because the A45 is Overpriced doesnt suddenly make other cars cheaper and more reasonable.. It just means it's overpriced hehe

In all the model sets up there has not been a rs without a s first.

they should have tweeked it ans settled for a s1 plus.

These are my thoughts on the current S1 and the abarth 500, although many people do like them.
