"Saturday..take it on the day".if this was me I'd say NO, you take it when payment clears or full cash. After reading of dealers folding, not getting payment, etc I would never allow any car of mine out of sight until it's paid for.
Paranoid much? He means he'll pay for it first, not drive off & then contact the seller later in the week with offers of bits of cash every other week.hora said:

Paranoid much? He means he'll pay for it first, not drive off & then contact the seller later in the week with offers of bits of cash every other week.To be fair, DS, selling a 4 month old car with 900 miles on it does seem a little too good to be true, maybe? (I don't doubt your reason, but if I read that in an ad on AT, I would be querying the reason for sale.)
OTOH, the message does seem to be very generic. Somebody might show up on Saturday, but I wouldn't be holding my breath!!

Unless he knocks on every door on the Wirral he won't find me without an address - no message back after first one = time waster
I hadn't intended to suggest they'd just show up without further contact in the meantime. It is only Monday.I guess my philosophy on matters such as these is to believe what happens when it actually happens!

The text enquires are generally ballbags or traders
Yep. Never once sold a car that started off from a text. Nearly every text I have received as a response to any advert I has reeked of laziness/boredom/ballbaggery. "Lowest ul take", "Wots ur bottom price innit" etc.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
