"There's a bloke/lass down the road with...."

Lots of nice cars round my way - the usual Ferraris, Lambos, Astons etc but the one that stopped me in my tracks at the weekend was an immaculate Old English white Mk 1 Escort 1300GT with a Mexico front end, being driven by a young lad with a couple of mates on board. Just pootling around with massive smiles on their faces - was lovely to see
I used to think I had all the good stuff in our village - until last Sunday, when a Porsche speedster came up our drive. The guy had heard of my small collection, and came to introduce himself. He's just moved to the village
I have 8 classic Alfas, but this guy has 7 classic Porsches, including a 2.7 RS! I think just one of his cars is worth more than all of mine put together!
He doesn't know it yet, but he's going to become my new best friend!

My favourite neighbour is the white haired old man whooshing and screeching round all the local roundabouts in his super shiny black F reg Renault 5 GT Turbo.
This is about the 5th summer I've seen him and he's always got a massive grin on his face.
There's various exotica that I could report but fk that, this guy is the man.

not much around near me of great interest apart from an Elise and a Lancia Delta. chap around the corner does hot rod racing I think and has a small collection of race cars. there are a few small racing teams nearby so see some cool hardware on weekends going to certain tracks. I've seen the odd ferrari and R8 but no idea where they live, I think they might own boats in the marina so don't live near me
There's a young lad a couple of doors down and I'm quite envious of his black Fiesta ST. He really looks after it, it's always clean and well-presented, he doesn't drive it like a tool, parks it properly and just seems to really care for it. It makes a nice change to see someone actually looking after their car.
Probably slightly strange that I'm envious of it, considering it's the little brother of the orange blob parked on my driveway.

I don't mean to sound like a dick but (there's a red warning flag going up!) I think I'm the bloke in my locality.
Well, I've seen a red V8 Audi R8 which I personally am indifferent towards but understand others may like, but that really is about it. The nearest cars of any interest to me are owned by two people I do know - one 3 miles away has a Mev Rocket kit car, and another I've known since I was a teenager lives 5 miles away had has a TVR Chimaera 500 and a Tuscan S.

A guy bought a tiny home near me and appeared to spend an absolute fortune extending it, using up most of the remaining land. He now squeezes a McLaren 12C, Rolls Royce and up to 6 or 7 other cars I can't even remember now onto what remains of his driveway.
Always fascinated me, I live in a village in the south west so not short of land or spacious homes, yet he buys a home on a sixpence and crams it full of metal worth in total more than his neighbours properties.
Never seen or spoken to him, would love to find out more though as his collection is quite varied.

Chap up the road from me has a rather nice white Cayman, the last gen from the current one. Not really a Porsche person but I'd love that.
Otherwise the village has a few MX5's, a nice MG ZR (yes, I know-but I'm a sucker for Rover stuff and it is in great condition!) and a Triumph Spitfire.

Down the road from the farm I work on, they have a couple of mk2 escort rally cars. They test them up the road odd times, can hear them for miles. Such a good noise!)
There's also an old man lives up my road with a 80s/90s BMW, maybe 5 series size? (I'm not up in my old BMs) Its spotless though and looks very smooth and bargey.
