In deference to the sister thread on cars over here... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Everything part has become "rare" but these plonkers should remember the market customer for a Talbot Avenger hubcab is also "rare". Vent!

My starter for ten, which might kill the thread at birth, will take some beating.

It's a mouse-mat given away by Nationwide but the squashy blue thing is not a mouse it's just a piece of foam cr@p that bears very little resemblance to a frogeye sprite. Some of his other items are also 'optimistically' priced, although many are VERY RARE, but not as VERY RARE as someone who'd drop a bag on a mousemat and a dog toy.

One of the great Chancers of our time.

The price of red 'VR6' badges used to get on my wick. Used to be a tenner from VW, but when they stopped making them, the ebay mercenaries soon jumped on it.

This one is cheap. I saw some fetch well over £100.

When I had my Supra it was £600 for a used TRD Steering Wheel, insane! Oil cap was about £70 too.

Not sure if these are overpriced, as such, as they're classic parts now, but they're sure expensive ...

Ferrari blank key. £150!

Ferrari keyring. £400!

I have both of these, bought from a dealer back in my teens as a reminder of what I dreamed of owning one day. Paid about £7 for the key and about £10 for the keyring!

in most case alfa romeo blanks work equally well.

This one is scoring highly in rip off bingo, with a double hit for "rare".
I assume its made of mammoth ivory.
