That's absolutely lovely. I want one.

I take it that it would dissolve in one Scottish winter?
It's lovely, isn't it? I reckon you'd be fine with it with normal care. If these things have lasted this long, they won't fall apart at the first sign of a Scottish gritter lorry. Obviously best to avoid the worst winter months though.

Seriously, if my circumstances were even mildly less restrictive, I wouldn't have posted and would be going to see this asap. I love it.

Is the E21 for sale.
No sign of it on their stocklist.

Why not drop them a mail or call?
Might just do that after the long weekend.

There's a rather nice Daimler here chaps.

Seriously splendid S3 double six , never had a Daimler, Dad used too, I've had several XJs mind. Think mileage wrong in advert though. Odo shows 95xxx in the photos, advert 59xxx. Assume just digit reversal.

No. The E21 323i was mine. My friend owns the dealership and he was dry storing the car for me whilst I was clearing down some of the classics I owned. I sold the E21 to a BMW collector in Yorkshire back in September (and bought a E46 M3)

The mileage is correct. The speedo is in KM as the car came back from Japan. I would have the car back in a heartbeat. I remember going to a wedding in the Double Six last year. I had a little bit too much to drink, so I gave the keys to Mrs. B.J.W (who was 7 months pregnant at the time and not drinking). Under sufferance, she drove us to the hotel with me sat in the back like a drunk Lord. The fuel bill for the weekend was comical, but the ride of the Daimler would put most modern metal to shame.

Back in the day, my girlfriend at the time's father had one of these. Had proper wheels and tyres on it, of course. Was the first car I sat in that actually accelerated with gusto up the hill to the pub.

Superb. When shod with the correct footwear, obviously.

I have my 1982 635CSi as a daily; lovely thing to look at and most of it works.

If you forgive the partial service history and budget 2k to a) replace the soft-top windows and b) refresh the shocks and probably top-mounts then this is a cracking buy at 6k asking, even to the point of venturing a small deposit to take it off the market until he's brought it back to the UK.

A 1-owner 87k mile example in a very similar spec (same colours, year and with pano roof) sold through a dealer in London last year for 15k and the new owner is happy with it. So (6k + 2k) looks alright.

I agree. That looks like a very decent price to me. Great colour too. Well worth a deposit and an early collection I'd say.

I've been looking for a Pano roof for a few months now, but they're silly money. It'd almost be worthwhile to buy this for the roof!

I saw it on c&c earlier (between Zoner & M. DG postings) & sent the guy a mail. Might already be gone! (not to me - I think I’m 2nd as he said he’d ring me tomorrow if it fell through).

I do want one now - been saying it for a while, but with the z4 gone, I’m missing a drop-top...

We’ll see!

Good luck Prinny - hopefully the seller hasn't just realised that he's a grand or three under the odds and done a reverse ferret.

There's a trimmer in Cheshire/Manchester called Peter Lenton who has a good name with R129 hood repair/replacement.

Does anybody think its strange that hes described all aspects of the car apart from the bodywork ?

Are they the right wheels for it ? They look a little odd ?
