What do you drive? How much attention?
Discussion
I have a Z4M roadster in imola red with some CSLs and it tends to fly under the radar.
My older Z4M coupe got constant attention, I’ve been pulled by police just because they were interested in what it was because they are so rare. Lots of appreciation.
My first mini clubman JCW got stolen, that was silver white with black stripes. Now I have a red one again it seems to fly under the radar. The odd person as the supermarket when you boot it up and the sports exhaust pops and bangs seem to have got a few dads giving the thumbs up as every dad has an infinity for a quick estate, mums more shaking their head in shame haha

The Camaro gets mostly positive attention and comments everywhere it goes. mostly from younger kids and their parents asking to take their photo with it. also get the most MPG comments in petrol stations and of course the 'is that a mustang?'....
I tend to notice the attention the M4 gets when just cruising on motorways when people come past looking. very mixed views on this one - plenty of thumbs up from white van man and kids tend to love it. have come back to it parked up to find people saying its awful haha. admittedly its grabs attention for 2 reasons - 1) the colour & 2) the grills of course. recently noticed it now gets a lot of positive comments at the motorsport events we go to - assume this is because its now quite a common and successful car in many racing series - great marketing from BMW
My other half's E39 gets load of thumbs up and attention from other E39 drivers and those with cars of a similar age. still a great car to drive and goes under the radar to the average driver.
and my daily ford ranger gets no attention whatsoever which is exactly what its for!

Love this. I always smile when I see an Abarth and they do really sound naughty. I had a 595 for a while (my wife did and I drove it loads) and they are great fun. Love the two tone.
Even our previous basic 145bhp 59 plate Abarth sounded nice the standard exhaust. Then to have the Monza and Akrapovic exhausts is another big step up in the sound.Think the small nature of the car, pulls the two tone of really nicely.
Used to own a Subaru P1 and I almost always used to get compliments from other Subaru owners when ever they saw me.Couple of times I was even followed just to keep admiring which I found a bit worrying.Once filling at a petrol station another Subaru owner happened to be there came and just was amazed to look my car and wished he had one.Now I have a BMW suv and I am invisible

Renault Twizy, lots and lots of attention, which is good or bad depending on your personality.
I get it from petrol heads, old ladies, kids, teenagers, girls - literally anyone. Nobody cares how fast (or slow) it is.
If I ever have to go electric I will get a twizy. Great little things. I get it from petrol heads, old ladies, kids, teenagers, girls - literally anyone. Nobody cares how fast (or slow) it is.

I drive a black Ferrari F430 F1 Spyder, which gets lots of approving attention, and curtesy.
Workdays I drive a unique Volvo V70R AWD with reflective tapes, which gets an occasional approving nod from the cognoscenti.
I also drive a rare Volvo S80 AWD 4.4 V8, which gets totally IGNORED.
ENJOY!

I hate expensive cars in bright colours. I don't want people to look and like to have cars that are useable i.e.parkable without worrying about vandal damage etc.
I have a 911. It's a plain shape in silver but has modded suspension and engine. I use it, I park it, I don't worry about it. Love it.

That's what insurance is for. The orange has a sentimental value but I can't imagine not owning something because I was worried people might look at it?

Another orange Porsche owner here. The attention gets a bit much and I've realised that I don't drive it much any more unless I'm on a road trip. Last weekend, I had someone in the A40 roadworks traffic saying "lovely colour, that!". Usually it's at petrol stations where this happens, so I can politely nod or say thank you and then carry on with my business. When stuck in traffic, you can't go anywhere! It's a small glimpse of what being famous must be like...

My Land Rover Defender gets a lot of positive attention :-)
Defenders seem to be the 'in crowd' - amazing residuals on old/near vintage models.I think 'Vera' has had a positive influence on the old MOD workhorse.
My business partner has just bought a new 'commercial' Defender for over £110K - I thought their purpose was on farms and the battlefield??
It seems they will be on Hollywood Boulevard instead of a muddy war zone!
