Cayman R - Minimal both positive and negative
964RS NGT - Not much unless they happen to be Porsche fans, most people see it just as an old Porsche.
12C Spider - Constant but in the main all positive.
Interceptor - Ridiculous attention particularly with the older generation. This helps as it regularly breaks down and I need a push.

Just bought an Abarth 595 Competizione and was surprised how many stares I got driving back up the M1 from London to Leeds. Loads of people pulling alongside to have a nosey and then blasting off (I was taking it easy being a new car)
Cool car. cool

Looks a bit like a ladybird.

Bought this MX5 just under a year ago with a 3.5 V8 under the bonnet, it gets so much positive attention which coming from Porsche/BMW is really quite nice. Just putting in the 4.6 V8 with Megasquirt, be done in the next few weeks biggrin

This is what I'm on the lookout for V8 MX5 .

Thanks, and others.

I had a Clio V6 a few years ago and that got loads of attention, this not quite so much but surprised by how many people have a second glance. I'm gonna do a few videos with it, I'll rig it up and will do a count of how many people check it out.

I have a good nose round that if I saw it parked up and probably do a double take as I passed it - not a fan of red cars (Vauxhall Opel "Flame" red pink killed red cars for me) but that looks ace

I'd definitely be having a nose around the 595 if I saw it parked up.

...and no, not for the reasons tediously suggested above.

SLK55, diamond white. Gets a fair bit of attention, especially with the custom exhaust. Petrolheads appreciate the car, most road users probably hate me. Passes the commuting time though and makes sunday services a blast.

Quite a lot.

Thumbs up from blokes, waving from kids, and girls just completely ignore it. smilesmile

Its all positive too, which is very different from driving BMW's and from the sounds of this thread 911's..... its almost as if you have something that looks like this, and isnt a Porsche they dont mind being over taken. Its almost just accepted, and in some cases applauded.

Frankly if that appeared in my rear view mirror I'd be disappointed if I didn't get overtaken. Brilliant looking thing.

Lots of smiles and thumbs up from kids to grown men, windows wound down by cars in the inside lane and 'rev it up' requests... Very rare it doesn't get a smile or comment in the filling station... It's nice to own something that makes complete strangers smile smile

S3 (8l) - bad attention, people drive like idiots around that car for some reason?

Z4 - nobody bats an eyelid parked up and bad attention when driving, bought it modded and slowly de-modifying it... exhaust is stupidly boomy and I hate it but there aren't any standard ones for sale currently frown

Noble - makes people of all ages smile all the time, I like that about it but feel self conscious at times
