I knew as soon as I posted, some pedant wouldn't be able to resist posting that, you know what I mean.
Genuinely, I didn't. When I read it I assumed you had made a mistake. What did you mean?

Presumably he means no turbo lag. The torque of the V6 is fabulous.

I think he means it has not been subjected to a small capacity turbo power plant as is the current trend.

Exactly this, it's large engine with no turbo lag. I tend to clump supercharged engines in with N\A rather then turbocharged. I know in pure technical terms that's not correct but the way they deliver power is way closer in character to a large N\A engine then it is to a small turbo one.

The Caymen GT4 v Exige cup racer was floored as per the comments.

The GT4 is the better car in some respects, but it costs a whole load more (forget the silly advertised list price) if you can find one. I also seriously doubt if it will be anywhere near as much fun, although there might be times when travelling long distance that you`d be glad you were in the GT4.

EVO pitched a GT4 against the 350 Sport and the 350 edged it, just.

Porsche make touring cars and suv's these days. Just a shame Lotus haven't the budget for marketing as they piss over the competition.

Budget's obviously a problem, but the problem's bigger than that. Even with Porsche's budget they'd still be horrible.

I love my Elise SC but this Exige is so much more of everything that Lotus stands for, would definitely trade up if funds allowed.. If you don't have the budget for this then consider an Elise

...although designed for limbo dancers who never need to carry anything in the car with them.

What? A special edition? From Lotus? Surely not!

Lotus have the best lineup of cars they've had in years, the Exige is a stunner, in 400 tune the Evora really feels it's come of age and the Elise is still a solid package although I'd say it could probably use an update

I remember when lotus had just the Elise and Exige, and even then the Exige was just a hard topped Elise same engine and tune till the bigger roof scoop cars came along

I don't recall a more varied lineup since the 90s when they have the Esprit/Excel & Elan

I did a similar thing this year. Got the car, did Nurburgring, many thousands of miles round the Alps, three track days in the South of France, home, picked up another one and then sold the original. beer

Love mine....

I got mine in May this year in bright orange.

I loved them when they came out, after going to look at an S2 Exige i was convinced to take a quick test drive of the V6... the crafty salesman. Bought it!

I think the ride on it is quick good, certainly in comparison to the Z4MC i had before and sports cars i had driven.

This one looks great, love the wheels. I have a feeling im going to be keeping this one for a long time or come trade in time, ill get another one.

The amount of special editions Lotus are releasing is getting a little boring. Different colour schemes and minuscule weight saving.

I can't see why they can't increase the power to 450bhp in line with the 3-Eleven, that'll tempt me out of my now year old Exige S.
