A rather unsporting post because this car isn't a barge and is unpriced, so shouldn't really be here, but it's a weekend and I thought the slight potential of an unintended double meaning might amuse.

Vendor said: ' ...if you are looking for a project Europa, you'd go a long way to find a better starting point.' I'm not sure that's as positive an endorsement as he intended.

I don't know why I like this. It's a spartan Audi but with goodies: a detuned 3.2 VR6 from the Golf R32 and comfort suspension. Without leather and nav it actually looks a little fresh!
60,000 miles on the clock. Sure, It isn't exactly cheap, and it probably will understeer quite a lot on the twisties with all that front end weight, but it is oddly appealing and would be great to do motorway runs........with a decent soundtrack too.

Found it

I just find it a bit ordinary inside. Couldn't stomach paying over 500 quid tax for an A4 either!
Nothing to do with the VR6 engine either. It's Audi's own longitudinal V6.

Still sounds fantastic stock....

And with a decent exhaust...

I don't know if it does it for you, but it sure does it for me. Especially since it hides the dated sat nav. I'd fit some cream leather seats and doorcards and it should be good to go.

I think I'd have to fit leather seats (I hate cloth/velour 99% of the time), but that sounds like a perfect solution to the fiddly niggles to the LS430.

Apologies for spoiling the budget, but I really like the look of this V12 Century in diplomatic spec. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272691347724

I prefer that to most of the cars of late, but I really don't have £15k of love for it.

It's a nice mini-barge, that. I think I'd want quattro, though.

Dynamic are the ones that inflate a bolster as you corner. They do it 1-2 seconds later than they would if the system was designed to work in a way that doesn't inspire instant nausea.

I've got them in the W221. Took approx 5 corners and 3 dry heaves to switch it off.
Thats a big help, im pretty sensitive now to anything that disorientates like this, still think id like the little kid sticking his fingers in my back though, had it on an sl55 back in the day and we both liked it (dont think it had dynamic, long time ago)

may have a try of the Lexus seats to compare, anyone know if they were fitted to the circa 2007 GS?

Thanks again gents.

Different set of wheels and it's gorgeous.
Agreed. The extra A pillar mirror would have to go too.

The vendor sounds like an idiot and needs to step away from the coloured font button, but that car is very cool.
That's crazy money, and also hilariously underpowered for a 2005 V12! Or am I the only one who thinks that?

It's the usual Japanese power agreement guff though, its "276" bhp really means 300+ even before a remap/fettle to release a bit more.

It's about the cool and waft factor, not the power anyway.

And looking at the specs it's only about 10hp and 20Nm behind the BMW M73. Not bad for a first effort at a V12.

That, or you can have one dropped off in Liverpool with half the miles. £4356.00

Few taxes to pay but, hey, that doesn't count does it?

But that engine is pretty ancient.....!

For £15k you could get a lovely V12 S-class or CL-class for that. Or something else, whatever takes your fancy. Maybe I'm just being grumpy hehe

A8 W12 I really do like and is on the list to have in future, but that one I don't know why just looks like it's a lot of trouble.

The 760 is also on the list and I love that one.
