Best smoker barges 1-5 large [vol11]

Is the Bentley an S2 Mulliner continental? A proper barge with a great thirst for 102 octane juice if you go by what the manual says.
Anyway I'm looking for some moral support, man maths equations and encouragement to justify bodywork expense on my E34 535 barge (all be it a manual) after an incident with a gate post. Prior to the gate I was slowly sorting it out all new water plumbing, vac pipes, conversion to new type air con gas, suspension bushes etc but now it is languishing sorn pending a remedy to gate post injury needed to get mot.

How much damage did the gate post do.Is the Bentley an S2 Mulliner continental? A proper barge with a great thirst for 102 octane juice if you go by what the manual says.

I've looked at that one a long while but I really think it is an over-priced polished turd.
The nearside front wing has the tiniest bleb of rust in the usual place. It will only get worse. The offside rear wheel arch looks to me to have been re-modelled in bodge. And I am very suspicious of the boot floor: it looks far too wobbly. It also has 150,000miles. It might be worth £2,500, less if my suspicious mind is in fact correct. It's a shame because light ivory, green MB tex, air con, orthopaedic seats, pre-facelift... pretty perfect spec.
Does look like some form of crash damage, after a quick Google:The nearside front wing has the tiniest bleb of rust in the usual place. It will only get worse. In my opinion that was a ridiculous place to have a gatepost, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
I love manual 535s, proper old school BMWs, tell us some more about it please!

Long term user, first time poster. What is a smoker barge?
The cost around £1-5k, they're old and unloved, therefore cheap for what they are.Should be accompanied by a sage nod and "I wouldn't mind smoking around in that for a while."
Typically, you're looking German, E Class / 5 series and bigger, and a proper petrol engine with at least 6 cylinders, but many other bits and bobs crop up too.
Typical reactions from co-workers could be "how the hell did he afford that" to "why the hell did you buy that"...

crap, cheap, big, unwanted.
(Some exceptions, but not often. Look back over the last few pages. See? Not often at all.)
I dispute "crap". They should be the sort of thing to make the neighbours think you've had a pay rise, which, nevertheless, the neighbours would never dream of driving in a million years.(Some exceptions, but not often. Look back over the last few pages. See? Not often at all.)
Apologies for the out of budget car but I'll get better advice here than anywhere else...
I was driving down the kings road a few years ago in my long gone pagoda and a guy flagged me down from a moped. We stopped and chatted, he too had one and we kept in touch via Instagram since.
He's selling this - it would run me £8900 landed in the U.K., modifications done, MOTd, taxed and duty paid. Pros are it looks nice in the pics, I trust him, and it's a V8. Cons - bumpers, lights and LHD.

What's the question? Obviously, you should buy it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192251181691
Black is a dull colour option, and LHD massively limits the appeal, but obviously you should buy it.
Cheap, cool, better than money in the bank. Obviously, you should buy it.

Should I buy it? I like the black (my previous 107 was white) and the LHD will mean that when I inevitably have to sell it 12 weeks after getting it here because it's a stupid idea I can pretend it'll be an easy sell into Europe to Hans José Dubois from Sacre Bleu.
