ETA: I hadn't even looked at the ad. "Fantastic condition" yet you've got a ruined rear-end, oil tins and rubbish in the rear footwells and manky headlights.

Late 2003 really. You will find the odd slightly tatty one as they're 12-13 years old but late 210's were pretty good. I had a 53 plate C180K Coupe and apart from some stone chippy rust on one back arch it was fine. 52 and 03 plate ones were generally teabags.The W211 rarely rusts - they're a nice car and for so little. I'd favour a V6 petrol auto myself and sod the economy.

It's a loooooong way from where I live. However, a manual is rare, is it not? Would love to go and see it but it'll be a whole day out for me.
