Perhaps a mobility conversion that someone isn’t able to use any more due to carer/driver passing away?
Correct. VW driver is housebound

The Jag used to have a sign stating he is allowed to park there. In fairness, it causes no issues and seems to be taxed and insured.

Love the pickup "conversion" in the entrance to the site.

I don't have a picture for you sadly , but there is an Abandoned Renault 5 near the edge of Hook by the A30

Has been there for at least 10 years.

A 2for1 here with them both not moving for 10 years at least according to Google maps. I've lived here 5 years and they haven't moved. The house looks the same so I assume deceased owner.

Loads of lower body rust and flat tyres all around

Now that's a car I've not seen on the road for a while.
I used to want a punto sport. (Did it have yellow seats and a 1.4 engine?)
That one looks like a decent spec ELX model but you're right, they did a "Sporting" - a 1.6 8v with about 90bhp and then later a 1.2 16v with similar power.

The one to have was the "GT" with the old Uno Turbo 1.4 engine.

(I went through a bit of a Punto phase that started with a bit of an oddity, the EL 6 Speed, a base 55 model with a crap engine, manual windows and low grade trim but a 6 speed gearbox and the top of the range stereo as standard. Not many existed in the UK apparently. I got a GT after that, it was much more fun but had no traction).

There can't be many MK1 cars left now.

Google came up with nothing, but here's a pic from 14 years ago, so it's some commitment:

Still on the road i think.
Can’t remember how I came to find it, but I saw the Range Rover for sale on EBay a good few years back.

The Rettendon Rangie, F424 NPE, had its last MOT in 2009 (advisory free on all three in '06, '07, '08 too, MOT by post maybe? hehe ), would be interesting to know what became of it.

Edit- looking at the mileage it went from 96,400 in '07 to 96,317 in '08. wobble Input error no doubt, as it'd be a very lazy haircut, but it's an interesting vehicle for sure. laugh

Haven't got a photo unfortunately & google street view isn't recent enough, but there is a house near the in-laws which had around 7 abandoned cars on the driveway/garden - all of them Megane convertibles! No idea why they wanted so many, ran a spares business perhaps?

Owner must have passed away as I walked past the house a month or so ago and the cars and overgrown tree had all been cleared and the house appeared on Rightmove with the description 'in need of refurbishment'...

I know the one you mean, supposing that the chances of two are infinitely unlikely: very bizarre collection. I think one of them was mobile, they did seem to shuffle around occasionally. I wandered past when the clearance team were in, seemed to have a large collection of broken microwaves, too...

Recently drove along this road which reminded me of this thread!

First house with a 205 gti plus a few others (and a poor attempt by Google blurring the house when you move around the map?!)

Across the road you can just about see a couple of range rovers and an XJ, annoyingly when you move closer the image goes back in time and they dissappear! The g wizz next door looks clean there, not so much anymore.

Weirdly another g wizz across the road biglaugh

Why have they tried to blur it out?

Presumably the owner asked Google to blur it, anyone can make such a privacy request I believe.

Yeah must of requested it, it hasn't been done very well as you can see everything if not positioned directly outside! Couple houses along has the same but blurred no matter what angle you try to look at it confused

A couple from my village out dog walking

The SAAB belongs to a nice chap, who has a yellow 748 Ducati with the tank signed by King Karl as he met him a few years ago. The SAAB has not moved for years.

Best part of 200k on that Rangie, so it had a good innings!

Last ticket in 2018 too, looks more like it has been stood for the best part of a decade.

These 2 been there as long as I can remember. Householder recently cut back some bramble at the front so you can see them better.
