Passing through Carnoustie today and spotted this fine selection of exquisite motors adjacent to the pavement.

That's an impressive failure sheet for the Puma back last in 2016.

I thought it was dead at 55K but then I scrolled down through the history.

Did early Pumas have a 5 digit mechanical odometer? 255k if I've worked it out properly... I think

And a S14 Nissan 200. Good looking car that.
I'd imagine it's probably more holes than metal underneath if it's spent its life near Dundee...

Thats good spot.

I imagine the fines now far exceed the value of the vehicle.

I’ve fantasised about calling them and asking them about collecting “my” car and recording the call! :-)

£25 a day? X 10 years………………

I wonder that is the one that was stolen from a company I worked for many years ago.

It was found in Monaco. There was much debate as to who was responsible for getting it back. The business said it was the insurers, the insurer refused.

I offered to fly out and drive it back, over a few days but the generous offer was refused.

I am not sure what the outcome was!

255K is excellent. I know of a 1.9 TDi VAG that had a cambelt service around 220K but was then written off.

It's a 1999 so not very early. 2000 had a digital 6 digit one I know but unsure when exactly they changed.

TBH looking at the MOT it seems all over the shop. My guess is it was a track car given the "rear seats not fitted" and missing seat belts.

Run past this every now and again. Doesn't look like it's moved in a long time. Looks worse in real life.

Well it’s still there and I think I first saw it in 2012 / 13

I spotted this Polo near me a while back, street view goes back to 2008 and it's sitting in the same place. No MOT history showing online (M752 GNS) so I can only assume it's been there for a very long time.

presumably they own the spot or it's included in their lease anyway.

I’d say someone used it to get to Monaco and left it there!

They’ve obviously had a look in the boot!

This sat unmoved for a very long time and somehow the parking permit was renewed after the tax expired
