Portugal. Nothing rusts, they just slowly fade away...

Another one in Camden. LHD 4.2 Petrol. Looks like the US/Middlle East square number plate aperture.

A couple from a trip this morning.

The ones on the petrol station baffle me. I think they are there to protect tanks, though if someone wanted to get into them it would take seconds to drag them with a van.
Now it just looks like a hill billy garage, if you go down the road and turn left you will get murdered.

Have you got a streetview of that garage?

Not sure if its the same one we had ages ago (might be a year or more) - from time to time they do more or get replaced (as you mentioned - probably strategically placed)

Thats the place.

If you scroll back through the years the Nissan Patrol 'Offroad Express' was there back in 2009 - in a few different locations

Or maybe to stop lorries parking there? If it is to stop access to the tanks maybe it’s just to stop youths / drunks or whatever rather than anything organised.

If the MoT expired last June then surely if will have moved since it passed, less than a year ago ?
My point exactly. You can see the car is in exactly the same position a year ago - I drive past it most days and I know it’s not moved.
It's more likely that the car has moved and has, subsequently, been returned to the same place. Perhaps the owner lives in the house behind.

There's someone in my road who does similar with a flash car. It sits at the kerb outside theirs for month after month but, once in a blue moon, goes somewhere and then gets returned to the same place. I have never seen the car move, but know it does because the owners, despite their habitual on-road parking, have a drive and occasionally put said car on it. I assume they do that if the favoured space isn't available after one of the very rare runs out. They then seem to wait for the space to become free and then return the car to it, leaving their drive empty.
I thought this would be the case too, however, I can understand re-parking it in exactly the same spot after getting an MOT but in the same spot with the front wheel turned in at exactly the same angle as well seems a bit unlikely? It’s in the same position in both pics. Weird.

This came up on my FB newsfeed this weekend - sounds like quite a few cars - 911s, a Merc, mk2 Golf and what looks like a Lancia Delta in these pics:

Whole site was cleared a few weeks ago, every car featured in the Johnny Smith video was taken away to its new owner by all accounts.

I feel like I saw a Twitter post where the council had cleared some of those cars because they posed a risk to environmental health.

Having watched Johnny's video about it, I'm not surprised. The old boy clearly had some quite serious mental health issues, and had just dumped a dozen or so (interesting) cars in a residential garden and allowed the garden to grow around them. You have to feel for the neighbours in situations like that.

It's a strange one. The Ford Mossdeo actually seems capable of movement, in that it comes and goes over the years but never gets any less dirty. The Peugeot vanishes at some point.

The 'Offroad Express' was still there in 2021, but had moved to the other side of the forecourt by then. It's a Toyota 4Runner or Hilux Surf rather than a Nissan Patrol, sorry!

I wouldn't call this ordinary but it was parked in the same spot last year when I drove past (approx 8-10months) little village just outside of Bridport...

I walk past this Duster regularly with the dogs.
It's in a nice area but looks like it hasn't moved in quite a while, going off the flat tyres and moss growing round it.
