Spotted Ordinary Abandoned Vehicles
Discussion
It doesn't look particularly abandoned in the Streetview pics but this is down the road where I used to live until recently. There used to be an old Fiat Bravo on the drive, which never moved. I then remember one day watching him spend about 3 hours trying, unsuccessfully, to get it started. Then a couple of days later, the Bravo disappeared and the 156 took its place. This was at least 2.5 years ago and the 156 has since, to my knowledge, not moved since.
Again, it looks alright in the Streetview photo but it was always filthy and had brake discs made of 50% rust, and the tyres were slowly deflating.
Not a particularly interesting submission but it's all I've got!

There’s what looks like a Russian rocket launcher in the woods on the left of the A1 heading south just before the Tyne Tunnel A19 junction.
Might be the one belonging to Lings Cars? Her business is based in Gateshead.https://www.lingscars.com/missile-truck
Land Rover, E320 and 525 on nice alloys all looking a bit sad infront of a house that also looks abandoned on the edge of Birmingham. The Rover has a bush growing round the front tyre that looked a bit like snow chains.

This makes me sad (as a VW Corrado owner myself). This is a Storm edition (1 of 250) and has sat like this since about 2009 in my wife's child hood village. It's still there as of Easter 2019.

Used to be my Wife's nans house.
I can't work out how many cars there are in the garden or why they are there, the clio outside has been there for years now, never moves, never seen anything go in or out.

Satellite view on Bing is better as the trees are too overgrown on Google.

Nevermind the tatty old Corrado, there's a lovely little box trailer abandoned on the grass just down the road. Heartbreaking stuff.https://www.google.com/maps/@51.8953246,-4.905917,...
Has anyone mentioned SMG Rover in Bristol?
Drive past frequently and they've lots of old Rovers that have been sat there for years - the only one worth mentioning though is the silver 200 vi!
Many with very low mileage and scary price tags! They won't sell you the cars if you ask and are parked next to more presentable models (at the moment they have a 2008 Rover 75 V8) on their forecourt.
Back when Rover went bust they bought unsold stock and were selling them up until around 2008, hence the late registrations.
Here's a video someone has done recently too.

Most of those Rovers were taken as trade-ins over the last 5-10 years. There was a rumour that they were unsold stock from the factory, or forgotten about by the factory after it closed, but SMG were a family run Rover dealer back in the day and have a loyal customer base, so a previously steady, but now declining supply of trade-ins and "probate cars"
I was told by a customer of mine in the area that that they sell the car and a restoration package to keep their own workshops occupied. I'm not entirely sure there is enough demand for 15 year old Rovers for that to be a viable business model though!

The chap in the video didn’t confirm but the white 600 which he thought might have been a Ti was in fact a 620iSD.sleepera6 said:

Going off the state of it, it's probably only got a handful of miles on it - driven back from the dealers and not used since.
