That’s surprisingly very fresh beneath the green, and the mot history on it Is unusually good too.
I’d take a punt at that if it was a semi high roof as I always liked these “new generation” Transits
Just checked it, it’s a petrol Auto, mega rare

I see a battered, rusty K reg Volvo when I go to visit family in Spennymoor (parked in front of an equally battered green garage door). It mustn’t have moved in about ten years...or so I thought.
Never get the chance to take a picture so thought I’d Google Earth it. Lo and behold, it was moved and there was another banger on the drive instead!

Found these two tonight. I wonder if the owner wanted to know just how different 1980s black 2+2 coupes could be!

Doesn’t sound like a good combination in 1992, a petrol engine with a lack of torque and a slushmatic? Must have been hateful to drive Edited by martin mrt on Friday 3rd May 02:01
Always liked the smiley Transits too, they were good workhorses, but I wouldn’t have this one for free!
The game has moved on. The new automatic gearboxes (Merc 9G-Tronic) and petrol engines mean that it doesn’t sound that bad of a combo anymore, but holy crap that combo looked ste in 1992.

I moved house with an ex Harrods smiley Transit some 8 years ago, it was Auto and despite it being rather dated it was nowhere near as bad as you would think.
2.0 Petrol Transits weren’t exactly slow in 1992 compared to a 308 T1 Mercedes for example, but a manual box was/is better.

Do you have a shot of this from further away? It looks well and truly buried!!!The Brummie said:
I know a guy who has a MK1 Capri 3000GT XLR on his drive.
Been sat unloved for years. He won’t sell it & he won’t allow anyone to photograph it.
I’d like to picture him as an eccentric who chases anyone who dares take a picture. Been sat unloved for years. He won’t sell it & he won’t allow anyone to photograph it.

My current position takes me in and around Edinburgh on a fairly regular basis and the sheer number of "abandoned" cars is staggering. Anything and everything from tun of the mill 10yr+ family hatches to Metros, assorted vans, some higher spec prestige stuff, old sports cars... there are also some areas where it seems the done thing to have the previous car dumped in the garden. I should really take some pictures or try and remember where there are and look on Streetview but I think I'd be there all day. Alarming amount of seemingly abandoned caravans too and yet nobody seems to be bothering much.

There's this Mk4 Astra that appears to have been parked up after a not so bad MOT fail in 2008 and not moved since..
Looks worse from the back..

This SEAT Arosa has been abandoned near me for as long as I can remember. It's looking quite a bit sadder now, several years out of MOT. It couldn't have been all that old when it was parked up. Did 100 miles between it's last two MOT's and hasn't had one since 2010. It's a 2003 car.
