God, no. Nissan have been selling SUVs over here for donkey's years; the Patrol, Terrano, Pathfinder and X-Trail all pre-date the Murano in the British market. Can't comment as to whether Muranos are reliable, but the fuel consumption can't be fun! Missy Charm said:

As correctly surmised above the fuel economy was a little scary, I averaged 17mpg in my 1400 miles but most of those were motorway, the chap who had it for a couple of years after me got much less than that in daily use.
I also recall the interior as being rather plastic compared to the Range Rovers of the time and ISTR an ashtray lid or similar actually falling apart, not good for a new car.
We never had another on the fleet!
Yes, the X-Trail predated it by some margin, I test drove one back in 2004 but we never put one on as it was a harsh drive with little to recommend it.
