Sorry but you can't blame a dealer for taking what someone is prepared to pay - that's business. How they've treated you after the sale is another matter, but a sale requires someone who agrees to buy.

Those 320i engines in the E9x are trouble. I had one. OH got it from a BMW dealer at 25k miles. I didn’t pay much attention. Promptly seized and died on the A41 a week later with a multitude of bonging going on, oil pressure faults and some other stuff I can’t remember. Taken back to BMW, who originally tried to argue they wanted to repair it, but I didn’t want to see it again as I had already realised the stealer had fleeced her over and it was going to be trouble, charging 12k for a 6 year old poverty spec car. It quickly appeared to me why the car had gone through owners quickly.

Put me off the 320i again at least, I’d still buy a 6 cylinder
What is wrong with BMW that if an engine has anything other than 6 cylinders they totally fk it up. Timing chain issues (and plenty of others) on their four bangers, and everything that can go wrong with an engine does go wrong with their V8, V10, and V12 efforts. Meanwhile the sixes are powerful, smooth, efficient, and last ages.

Spotted this on my daily walk local to my house. No idea how long it’s been there but I’m sure there’s other cars round the back as well.
Ooooh where is that? Strong want.

I have owned three BMW’s. Two six pots and a V8.
They make decent handling family cars with RWD for me. So I buy them.
I think their engines/cars are absolute ste though.
Probably no worse than any other German cars though.
The German car industry could market a 3 day old steamer and the U.K. would buy it.
Oh, there’s plenty of issues with their six cylinder cars as well.

Sad old Alfa with an oddly clean front wing. Not sure how long it's been here but it had a ticket a year ago....

A shame, I could be very interested in buying a Rover SD1 Vitesse efi - that one looks a suitabe case for a rebuild if it is complete.

In the middle of a field near Whitby Abbey, no obvious access road.

We saw that one in Whitby when we were there this time last year. It looks cleaner in your pictures, oddly.

I was surprised how clean it looked, aside from the missing window and arches on the other side. The MOT history suggests some rot so I presume the underside is a different story.

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for these when they have a wheel / tyre combo like this, amazed someone hasn't been up and stripped it of bits but I guess it's not that accessible.

I live too far away to take a trip over there and find it myself, would love to get my hands on a Rover Vitesse EFi, the engines make a great transplant into an old MGB Roadster, so much you can do to the Rover V8 to improve the performance. When I lived in South London I had an MGB GT V8 and loved eating the Golf GTi and Renault 5 Turbos on the M23 running into Crawley each day.
If someone posts the actual house number and address i might drop the owner a letter asking if he keeping it or selling it.

He has now obscured his house on Google maps, probably doesn't want the attention! Anyhow the road name is on the first post, it's house number two-zero-seven. I'd suggest a day out, and go & knock on the door!

The house next door is the one obscured

This home is just a few mins off the M25 J17, very easy to get to
