Gordon Ramsay's LaFerrari Aperta

Where will all that swearing get you, eh Gordon? Oh...

Having 'revealed' the existence of the pending Aperta version of LaFerrari on a certain motoring TV show, Gordon Ramsay recently took delivery of his car in Bianco Italia Ferrari with a Grigio Silverstone stripe. This car is, of course, the ultra-limited roadster variant of the already rare Ferrari hypercar, Ramsay's one of only 200 customer examples to be produced.

The $2m-plus car sold out long before it was even announced, and has the same 217mph top speed as the coupe. Other than the obvious removal of the roof, the Aperta also features a slightly different door and wing mirror design to the coupe; otherwise, they are practically identical.

Ramsay's car is one of the first to make it to the UK, and definitely the first to be seen driving in England. The car, delivered to his London home in late November, is the latest in the chef's extensive Ferrari collection, which includes the 'standard' LaFerrari, and an F12 TDF.

Fair play to the fella - worth over £130 million so I'm sure it didn't hurt him too much...

Absolutely, fair play.

Hope he drives it like it was stolen.

Very lucky chap! Sounds like he is happy to share his collection to the public on the streets, instead of locked away from prying eyes.

No doubt some kill-joy will be itching to post this in the crappy plate thread!

Seems a bit pointless to have 2 of basically the same car. Even the TDF has the same basic engine. Lovely cars but lacking in imagination slightly IMHO.

Of course, but if you are on Ferrari's list of "preferred" buyers for their ultra limited models, you've already got a few quid in the bank.

I expect he's one of the poorer ones on that list. Quite a comeback, wasn't he all-but-bust a while back?

White with a grey stripe though? One wonders. Even Chris Evans wouldn't have ticked the grey stripe box, but good on the guy for doing exactly what he wants smile
