A bit more GT40 stuff

Four cars above at Gt Saling Airfield fundraiser in Essex July 2018
Car on the left is a tribute to Chassis 1042...car assembled over 10 years with genuine GT40 parts
It has recently been sold to Canada for one million
The other three are beautiful well known replicas

The blue Ford outside Cressing ( Braintree) Post Office in 1965 is Chassis 1014...NNO 14C
The owner, Karl Richardson, is in view as well a little lady in the window!
A bit in Book 1 about this local car.
Karl also had a Ferrari GTO #3869

Fantastic, thank you very much.

I told my wife I'd ordered them and, as she's a woman, she immediately stalked you. laugh

And then said 'he does Instagram like you do'. I asked what she meant and she said 'he's on it, but he doesn't really know why'.

I'll be having words with her later biggrin

By now anyone reading my posts will know I am a GT40 nerd
My road car 1971-1975 was a 1965 ex Le mans GT40 as detailed in my Book 'Let them stare'

A few nerdy photos I took are here...

.

1969 Le Mans winners Jacky Ickx & Jackie Oliver at EXCEL London a few years ago. It has to be said they were not
this friendly during their racing years!

They both signed my model NEVER to be sold!

The current owner of the car, Chassis 1075, (the most valuable GT40) is WALMART billionaire Rob Walton. I took this
photo at 2019 Festival of Speed

This was 'my' GT40/1005 at Le Mans in 1965 driven By Herbert Muller & Ronnie Bucknum
Entered by Shelby America for Scuderia Filipinetti
No GT40 finished Le Mans in that year.
