Awesome thanks.

Just read up on the charity - wow. Someone I know works with life-limited kids and I’ll never the moment she told me that....I just take pictures for a living then hearing about the work people like her, and your charity, do is totally humbling. Thanks for your work.

I have visited the Little Havens children's hospice four times
The first was seventeen years ago
We were a group of around ten red-blooded men there to commit to fundraising in the future
Ten minutes into the tour we were all in a helluva state
The final room shown to us had an ice cold water bed as the final resting place for a child's body
The family of the child decorates the room with items from their home
Finally the hearse backs up to the French doors and takes the child away

I can honestly say we were, to a man, all crying

Thanks Biz for my books - they arrived a few days ago and I just started reading book one today. I'm going to really enjoy these.

A great thing you are doing raising money for the children's hospice. It's so sad that they even need to exist, but it's a great thing that they do and I applaud you for raising so much for them over the years.

Thanks again for my books! I'm really excited to read through the first book, but the second (modern era) is the one I can't wait to read! smile

The books arrived today and look really, really great!

I have briefly dipped into book 1 over a coffee, loving the period pics and enjoyed a good chuckle at a couple of the tales. Great stuff!

I'm certainly going to enjoy some quietly amused moments by the fire over Christmas with the books I'm sure.

Thanks again Michael for creating these fabulous books for such a good cause, and your prompt posting also. All my very best for Christmas and the future - whatever it may hold.

Moving on a few years to Book 2 this model year 2000 Ferrari 360F1 Modena was such a fantastic modern beast compared to the other Ferraris I had owned.
Main reason of course was the model was still in production. The next model 430 was still two years away

It had been 20 years since my 1981 308GTSi arrived and that car was unpleasant

This 360 flew with my first experience of a paddle gearshift which I loved
The only problem was rapid depreciation of £300 + a week.!
I used the car for 2 years/8000 miles and it was sold in 2004 for £52,000.
For a few years after that it kept dropping but they are now back to the 50K mark

This message is to say a massive 'thank you' to you Pistonheaders that have bought books and supported our mission for the children's hospice
I have been a member at Goodwood for 17 years and the joy is asking the motorsport stars to sign bits and pieces we can auction at our annual bash. They are all lovely!

Some good news..our target with book sales was to donate £500 before Christmas
Happily £600 has been raised in the last few weeks!

Photo here of Jacky Ickx signing my Book 1
I try for 25 signatures each time
The one above made £500
Some have made £1000.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS !

Mine in 2005 and the quickest car I have ever driven!
Engine uprated to 498bhp by DMS
I collected it from Dorset and stopped for fuel
Unbelievably one identical was filling up too ......Clive Woodward the rugby chap !

I saw that car at the Goodwood FoS maybe 10 years ago and spoke to the owner. I jokingly asked him if he wanted to sell the plate as its my initials. He said he's bought it sometime in 196? and paid (iirc) £50. I asked him if he wanted to double his money? Surprisingly he politely declined, laughed and walked away.

Lovely car and proud to have my initials on it.
