I have been to every Concours at Royal Palaces since Windsor Castle in 2012
There is no better car show

Over the next few weeks I will upload a few photos that I have taken

Many incredible private collections show their wares

Peter Mullin, who has recently died is one on them.
His wife, Merle, here with their Hispano Suiza

And of course my new book for sale!

I've been there for the last few years, it's a lovely event, with a stunning backdrop.
I enjoy wandering the Hampton court palace and soaking in the history as much as I'm there for the impressive vehicles of all types.

From the Concours...Mark Finburg by his Porsche 917 ( probably worth £15 mill ?) which he has owned since the early 1970s. Chassis 013 took part in the 1971 Steve McQueen film, Le Mans. The North London family own a few good cars !

The Facel Vega makes me think of what the Ford Edsel could have looked like, had it been done tastefully.

So I suddenly thought when browsing through this excellent book that I was at the Fordsport Day in 1972 when there was an abundance of GT40's in attendance, none of them replicas! So I dug out my an old photo album as I knew I had taken some photos of them and lo and behold your GT40 by my old Kodak Brownie. So here's a photo, sorry for the quality but it was an old camera even then. I would have driven to Brands in my Ford albeit my trusty rusty Anglia as I had only passed my test a couple of months earlier and even then £90 wasn't a great budget. May have another one somewhere.

Fascinated to read that you were @ Brands for the 72 FordSports Day. Any memories of the 2 Capri 3000E celebrity races and have you any photos of the Capris ?
