Great thread, thanks for updating.

I remember the adverts for the red Rover Vitesse - and the vast majority of the early Vitesses I saw were red.

More than a passing resemblance indeed, especially around the headlamps / sidelights / indicators.
And the Rover stylists did a pretty good job of stretching the Daytona profile into a spacious 5 door hatchback without making it look hideous too, imho, unlike today's 5 series GT & GLE Coupe efforts from BMW & Mercedes... vomit

Many thanks for your appreciation.
My late father's early Rover Vitesse was a blue one, but the Rover V8-S Janspeed Twin Turbo SD1 we had before that, was red.
Many very happy memories in both of those. biggrin
