£35k for 500bhp, manual and brand spanking new, there's not a lot out there going to touch it for that price and value for money
Your figures are wrong I'm afraid.

This is what I do not get, I don't like the Mustang at all, I never really have in all it's generations, the new one even more so, but it's 500bhp with a huge V8 up front, a manual gearbox and it goes like the clappers and at £35k it's basically stealing it, even though I don't like how they look I'd own purely because it is a pure petrol head car and it is a big fk you to all these flappy paddle cars out there that want to be race cars, what happened to the days of just big power with a manual box that isn't a purely track focused car for the road...

They are 410BHP stock. I did the GT 350 upgrades and remap to hit 500+, which was around £2000 in parts, shipping and remap included, fitted them myself as nothing has changed working on these cars is a doddle. smile

I'd say I have spent 5-6k in modifications, suspension, interior, looks and power. Insurance is a steal also, £410 all modifications declared. smile

In reply to post above, the price is still astonishing and it is still a bargain and you can't ignore how much you get for so little money in the fast car market

An unmolested Mustang would be lovely, after having the v6 for a week in Florida I came home to look at the V8 over here in blighty, a lovely car but then you find out basically you have none of the options the yanks do, no seat choice, no extras choice, rear brake lights don't flash in sequence for indicating, front DLR's disconnected as they aren't bright enough for the EU. The missus asked if we could have it in yellow with a cream interior, salesman says that's not an option, I ask why and am told that Ford feels that it would harm the resale value, fair enough I say, so if I buy outright vs lease/hire then it's ok right? Nope still not an option! It's built to my specs what stops them putting the cream seats in vs the black leather?! Off we pop and a week later the salesman calls to ask if I want to put a deposit down.... Not really I reply, it's missing options, we can't get the colours we want, the "cooler" styling features have been removed, I'd rather look at a low mileage import that's half the price, this point the salesman asks if I'd really put up with driving on the wrong side just because I can't get the lights and colours, I want, well yes and for half the price too, if you can't get what you want why pay a premium?!
yellow with cream seats...pmsl.

Well indeed but if I'm paying then who cares? The seats bolt in the same way!

As someone looking to replace their Raptor (due to age, it is a 2012, and out of warranty late this year), but still requiring a Truck, I am really struggling with what to replace it with. I don't think the Dodge or Toyota are as good, I've considered the GMC as well, but it is ugly in the 4 door, and a two door is not as practical. Even with more power - I don't want a V6 F150!

My current man maths is saying to keep the Rapror for as long as I am here (and possibly even ship it back to UK when I'm done), and get a sports car to keep the KM's off of it. It is the best "car" I've ever owned. Truly superb.
I would not have any concerns about the reliability of your truck. They are fairly easy to work on and I reckon less problematic than the 3.5tt will be.

Even though it's a speciality truck, parts will be available for a very long time. Once you have a Raptor there's nothing much hardcore than that other than a full blown prerunner/trophy truck or a dually. I'd keep it.

I like the new aluminum body but I drove a Taurus sho with the same engine and paddle auto box, it felt fast enough but the auto killed it for me.

I do not get why Ford is pushing ecoboost on it's consumers. I don't mind the turbos, but marketing the ecoboost on better fuel economy is nonsense.

The ecoboost 3.5tt in the f150 barely does any better than the coyote v8.

My family have a new f150 lariat 4wd, coyote, crewcab, which is very nice to drive but I am not sold on the looks. I really like the auto dimming high beams though.

I really like the Chevy Silverado High County but the current models have small size beds which are useless. I want to be able to sleep in the truck bed without having to curl to fit. If I was moving back to the UK, I'd get a dually for sure to piss everyone off.

So that leaves Nissan's new Titan, I'm not sure if the new Pro4x is out yet, I do not like Titans and I've only seen one new one on the road.

The Toyota Tacoma is nice but too small, so is the Colorado/Canyon. So that leaves the Tundra TRD pro.

There's another British ex Pat I work with that has a Tundra TRD Rock Warrior which is also very nice, but it must have the facelifted interior.

The Tundra TRD is a safe buy in the U.S. as they hold their value.

So if I had a fully paid off raptor I would keep it and supercharge it.

I would be lying if I said I was not thinking about a trophy truck recently.

If I was buying another Hellcat I have to say I'd be hard pressed not to get the Charger instead of the Challenger. Both brilliant.
They're about to release a Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Hellcat too (TrackHawk) and the new Dodge Demon, which is what I'm really waiting with baited breath for (wide body hellcat, basically).

Raptors I love, I had a 6.2 and now have a current generation 3.5 V6 Ecoboost F150 daily driver that's been breathed on. I can't wait to see how the new Raptor is given how much my F150 improves on the gen before it. Still prefer Chevy for workaday trucks, but Raptors are a different breed.

GT350 I like a lot, but prefer the ZL1.

Gransport is a bit too... retiree. Z06, ta.

Just import it, probably cheaper than a ukdm model and you will get a ton more options.

I'm not sure even Ford in the US would sell you one with that colour combo. Quite rightly too IMO.

Ford USA don't currently list a cream or tan interior which is unusual. If you had deep enough pockets one of the mustang boutique companies would probably make a cream interior.

Yellow and cream would look good.

If the Mustang had another £5k spent on some decent interior trim and sorting out the exterior panel gaps, then I'd have one in a shot. As it is, it's compromised car.

Corvette C7 Stingray is THE American sportscar. You really don't need either of the "wide body" versions (Grand Sport/Z06) in UK where the base cars are already wide enough. The normal Corvette is almost exactly the same dimensions as Lotus Evora - just a little longer and a tad heavier with that thumping 460bhp, 460 lb/ft engine

Yep, they ought to make it into an Audi clone. That's just what it needs...

So you want to turn it from a well-priced performance bargain in to....just every other premium sports coupe/gt?
