Not that I'm in any sort of financial situation to be splashing that sort of cash on cars you're exactly right, spending that much of your own hard earned you should be able to decide what you want withing the manufacturers specification, they failed to deliver and acted like shysters about it afterwards.

Would certainly put me off buying one of their cars if I could ever afford to!

Import a Viper ACR since it's basically what this car is playing at being plus a lot quicker and much, much rarer in Europe? Plus it looks better and sounds better

Sorry it didnt work out in the end OP. Agree spending a lot of money you should get exactly what you want.

Not a missed opportunity to make a bit of money out of the back of a bad situation though if they are going for overs?

Did not read the full thread but would have also been very pissed off about that
If they really trade for a premium as opposed to advertised, i would have probably taken delivery driven it a bit and sold if I can't get pleasure out of it

Everyone's entitled to an opinion. It wasn't even the OPs situation i had issue with, it was someone describing it as 'unenviable'.
