These are bikes unlimited in size and power, with or without a sidecar.
All that though and you see bikers riding like this all the time. I dread Spring, you end up with fat body power rangers showing to their mates how good a rider they are overtaking on double whites, riding vastly over the limit and pulling wheelies at any chance. The roads are better without these mobile body organ donations being tts.

Really!

The hoops a 19 to 23 year old would have to sume through.
From the licencing side of things yes, but as you say at the end point the power is unlimited. It's true that the same applies for cars, but anything with equivalent performance is out of reach for 99% of the population, and will be safer in an accident. A quick look on the government website says 1% of traffic but 19% of deaths.

Looking at it from a purely statistical point of view, you have a form of motorised transport that is far more dangerous than any type of vehicle, and by it's very nature cannot have the same safety features as something on 4 wheels. The government is trying to push self driving cars in the name of safety, so if they become commonplace I wouldn't be surprised if anything over 125cc is outlawed for road use. It's not something I want (although I wish there were tighter regulations regarding exhaust noise, but that's another topic).

Those aren't really hoops though, they're options.

Without wanting to put words in his mouth I would imagine what RTB was talking about was regs surrounding protecting the rider i.e. apart from mandatory helmet wearing, there are no regs. Literally no legal requirement to wear even the most minimal of safety equipment which will prevent a mild burn injury from turning into a flesh-tearing, bone-grinding mush.

I think bikers should really have stabilizers for a few years, so many road warriors haven't got a clue.
Put them in cars. You can do much less damage with one of them.

Yes, that horse did really well. It could have easily thrown the rider off which would have ended up either under a horse or under a truck.

I haven't had to drive past a horse for many years but when I lived somewhere more rural, it was a regular thing. I would always slow down and give them a wide berth. Those drivers in the clip are selfish morons or just oblivious.

I don't like horses, I think they're odd creatures but happy for folk who enjoy their company. But the clips showing some of the driving is nuts, why are people that ignorant, overtaking has to be slow, wide berth and quiet.

Not excusing the close calls, but some of the clips are a bit HCW though...

Especially the second clip, which even contains the classic arm raising gesture so beloved of the HCW brigade

Some very poor driving in that video, but I also couldn't help but feel that some of those horses weren't particularly 'roadworthy'. The incident at 4:17 for example, when three horses randomly darted onto the wrong side of the road on a bend. They could have easily collided with an oncoming vehicle.

I think the highway code also says your vehicle should be roadworthy. Neither of his brake lights worked.....

Also, if you're going to pick a car to crash into your Saxo, I don't think a LR Defender would be my first choice
