What was it that fell from the sky at the end of the last exposed? It looks like a windscreen wiper then the vid references a Jet 2 Jet at the end.

No pictures of the object but pics of the damage. Ice? Wiper from the plane? Could have been very nasty.
One the comments the guy who's video it is says it's a wiper from the plane flying directly above at the time of impact.

Obviously can't prove it unless he went back and retrieved the item but who knows.

Also bokenrider or whatever the name, is a Grade a

Yikes, what was the black pug thinking? You dealt with that pretty well imho, you slowed as best you could, in a straight line, well controlled. Added bonus points for pushing the nearside rear of the pug to put him into a wonderful spin. Deserved it!!

As for the works van, my first thought long queue at roadworks, a roadworks van approaching in a hurry - perhaps to deal with the cause of the hold up?

Did the occupants get out holding their necks? Looked like a cash-for-crash to me.

ETA: On second viewing, looked like just the one person in the car so probably not CFC.

The Pug incident justified every penny of the camera. He claimed he was in lane one and I didn't see him. He had all sorts of neck and back pain, poor lad, until he saw the camera footage.....

The works van was going to scheduled road works 1/2 mile up the road. Bloody nuisance in morning traffic on a single carriageway.

I'd have let that go a lot further than that before providing the footage , wkers like that need showing up in court

Agreed. Shame there isn't a register of those who lie to their insurers, similar to CUE. Not that insurers care. If not for the dashcam footage how would this one have played out, I wonder?

Our insurers were quite clear, without the video it's 50/50 at best.

I wonder if the van was going to fix the light or something. Nothing seemed to be moving until after he went through.

Sadly, that's pretty true. Regarding the rules of the road, the consensus is on 'priority from the right' so the car, being on your offside, basically had priority to pull in and it's always up to the vehicle on the inside to yield. Independent witnesses are the only saviour in such incidents, and believe me you can have a hundred cars passing and nobody will have seen anything.

Anyway, a bit from my neck of the woods...Including this bit of road which is the bane of everyones life (hope the google map uploads)

(edited as map link didn't work, does now)

Have a scoot around this bit of road and let me know your thoughts, if any. It's a series of 3 'road merges' instead of a standard roundabout, but some people put their foot down and go for it, others simply stop in the middle of the carriageway and someoen else goes up their chuffer-dandy

There's not a single insurance claim in that video. There's nothing worth watching in that video as they are all trivial incidents.

From the trivial cometh the 50/50 claim....so saith the Lord (Hebrews 1246)

not in this country for lanes, if someone pulls in front of you and brakes then that has nothing to do with priority to the right. the 50/50 was because the Peugeot said he was already in the left lane.
i am sure people make up rules to fit their driving.

Bit of observation, anticipation, curtesy and a bit of common sense, and don't approach at a zillion leptons, should work, bet it doesn't though with the me me me brigade.
