What in the utter fk is the cam car doing at 3:00? Trying to cut across the roundabout on the wrong side in front of a Mini, and then putting it online as an example of bad driving??
That is an appalling road layout though !

Right turn lane looks like you have to cut across the roundabout or get back in the left lane !

There's a tractor on the road and several people want to overtake it, all manner of fkwittery ensues (inc the commentary unfortunately).

Yeah, the Mini was even indicating. Cam car thinking more about getting good footage than driving well. Completely avoidable incident.

I think it's just a shop-front door that he slumps down in, the other guys come along checking if he's alright.

Jeez. I appreciate that the overtakers are demonstrating all kinds of stupidity, but those doing their best to what appears to be intentionally not letting them back in are similarly knobish.

Very old vid- was a fake, staged setup to go viral and make cash.

Head on crash. I'm giving the cam car 10% of the blame for not being ready for this but not that won't be a popular thought.

censored

Sorry, clip is far too graphic.

Can you elaborate why cam car has any blame in your opinion?

He should have anticipated the car turning in front of him and executed a J turn thus avoiding an accident.

fk, that is sickening, seeing the child in the front seat of the problem car being the first to get the impact. from the distance of the car when the problem car starts making the turn surely there isn't enough reaction time + braking time for any one to stop?

I can see your point but even so rofl

Cam car has zero blame for that incident.

It's not like he was hanging out in someone's blindspot for 30 seconds and then got hit. He didn't undertake someone on a roundabout just before an exit. He didn't speed through on an amber. He wasn't even going at an unreasonable speed for that road.

As I said, I can see your argument about possibly anticipating the one stupid thing the other driver could do, but he's still not to blame for that collision.

He shouldn't have been driving down that particular road at that particular time wink

(That's what I was told on here when I got rear ended whilst stationary in a traffic queue at a set of traffic lights).

That Disco Sport on foreign plates will be LHD too, so sighting for an overtake more difficult to see round vehicles ahead. Absolute arse of a driver.

I'm normally all for asking how the camera car could have avoided the accident, but that one is pretty much blameless.

Watch the video and hover the mouse over the pause button and hit pause at the time when you honestly see he's going for the turn. I make that 13 seconds in. The crash happens at 14 seconds.

13 seconds:

14: seconds:

Even if you assume the first picture is at the beginning of the 13th second and the next picture is at the end of the 14th second that still only allows an absolute maximum of 2 seconds for reaction and braking.
