So he does all that speeding and bugger all comes of it, then gets wiped out by someone who presumably wasn't speeding (or you think they'd have mentioned it since it fits so neatly into the narrative) while he himself was not speeding (same assumption, same reasoning) but it's the speeding that's dangerous?

Also, that video demonstrates a huge number of behaviours which would be deeply inadvisable no matter what speed against limit he was doing, yet yet again it's the 'Xmph above arbitrary number on sign' on which we are focussed.

I swear that 99% the reason we have the videos on the thread is because our driving has been reduced to a simple case of 'any driving, no matter the standard, which is conducted at a speed less than the number on the stick is absolutely, 100% safe and legal. Anything above is always wrong and will get you and your loved ones killed instantly'.

And prudently, you've muted the sound, so we'll never know for sure.
No horn or revving, just a muttered "wow" and some music I didn't think people would want to listen to laugh

Sadly, I think taking the time to upload a rather boring video from your dash cam to the internet and then posting it on a forum very much places you into DCW territory biggrin
Don't necessarily disagree, and I wouldn't if we didn't have a dedicated thread chain over 1k pages long, but it only took a minute to upload and people should really use their indicators, especially if their road positioning is misleading frown

I'm no legal person.

But his own footage has been used against him. Doesn't this fit under the right to not incriminate himself?

Personally think his punishment is justified. His riding in the footage is very poor. Wet and at times dark while weaving/filtering between cars at speed over wet road markings is asking for trouble.

0.52 for the PH driving gods, although it didn't end as well as he thought it would.

So the real reason that chap wanted to return his 370Z wasn't the wrong exhaust or the wrong coloured wheels. He'd totalled it chasing his mate in a Focus.

I can only assume that he offered his footage for the accident and they reviewed it all. Fairly tricky legal issue if someone challenged it I'd imagine. I was under the impression you have to give permission for them to use your own footage but I guess you'd have to be very careful how you word it all. A lesson for anyone that owns a dash cam I guess.

I'm sure there was a case recently where they went through a dashcam and found some questionable footage and the owner was done.

Same scenario as well i think.

I am a DCW. In my defence I left the guy loads of room but he decided to slow right down, timing his manoeuvre to coincide with my passing almost perfectly.

So despite being able to see well in advance what was likely to happen you chose not to move over but to almost drive into him to make a point.

Can I ask why?

Absolutely terrible, dangerous driving. Look how short the sliproad is - what the hell did he expect them to do? Completely stop on the slip because you couldn't be bothered to move over to the empty lane? Then you punish them with a fast close pass?

You should have read what was coming in plenty of time and moved to the middle lane. A near miss for absolutely no reason.

You didn't read it at the time and obviously can't see the obvious in the video either. That's even more concerning.
