Overlooking the fact that the focus shouldn't be taking advantage of the box area to push in to a queue, is it really that surprising that they clearly weren't expecting the bike to be there in this situation?

https://youtu.be/8tM23mX-tu4?t=169

Or is filtering like this fair enough?
Tom is an idiot. He wears a helmet cam because he keeps getting carved up but he's so busy being a self riteous prick that he doesn't realise he Keeps getting carved up because he lacks experience and awareness.

Well done Tom, you might just film your own death and then you can be the most correct man in the morgue.
Clearly the car is in the wrong, his exit was clear, why change lanes and stop on a box, whether he saw the bike is not important, his road craft is crap.
The Focus driver was careless, he didn't check his mirrors properly and stopped in a yellow box. However, Tom wasn't really filtering as there was not a queue in the outside lane. There was the Isuzu Trooper directly in front and the Focus in front of that. He was effectively trying to carve a way between the two lanes to overtake two slow vehicles on the inside without considering the lead slow driver was going slowly because he was looking for a gap to change lanes.

The Focus driver being careless doesn't mean Tom was blameless.

The clip at the end, the "I've got kids in the car" defence - used like it's some sort of joker card to justify their actions.
Normally done, as in this example, by setting a great example for the kids. If he didn't get a very sore/bruised/broken hand then he's not someone I'd want a punch from to be fair.

Thought he was asking if they wanted to buy a 'dag'.

Spot on. And as the person who will come off (much) worse, the onus is on Tom to get his st together.

I watched that today. It was an utterly appalling and dangerously out of control price of driving.

It was pure luck that the officer smashed into the kerb on the other side rather than the crowd of people on the other.

I sincerely hope he gets his blue light driving revoked until they work out if he can control a car in a sensible manner.

If there is a camera there, it wouldn't be Tom who got a ticket.

Just noticed two idiots parked on the box, dear oh dear.

BMW reg has been reported to Warwickshire Police.
Just going back to this briefly, the Disco definitely brake checks the BMW first.

And cuts him up (accident it seems).

Still, bit extreme to basically jump in front and go full-metal-crashtard.

I couldn't see the Disco cutting him up at all but maybe more went on before that we didn't see. BMW driver can explain it in court.

Are you 2 watching a different video, the BMW is in the wrong lane, it cuts close behind the Disco who has correct lane discipline, the BMW then shoots around and gets his rear customised. I don't think the Disco had time to brake test even if it wanted to and as it followed the correct lane could not have cut the B up.

I think we are.

00:00 to 00:06 in, the Disco is in the left lane at the set of lights and the BMW is in the right. Bit of a pause and squint but it's visible.
By 00:11 in he has transititioned across (horn from BMW who is none too happy)
00:13 - brake check
00:16 rage-take
00:200 full metal crash-tard.

And this is why incidents like this happen because people are so thick.

The Disco is in the left lane, that splits into 2 on the roundabout and he takes the right one (the middle lane of the 3). The BMW is in the right lane, that continues as a single lane but he tries to cut across into the middle one.

That is what it looks like to me too- Bmw doesn't follow the lines on the road to the 3rd lane. But difficult to tell for sure.

OP- surprised to see the hits on your video so low, this is the kind of video that Daily Mail and viral companies like to use.

Watched it again - originally thought Disco made a move to go from his lane to outer (as in, into eventual 3); but I think it's just where he was on his mirrors. Maybe there was something previous to this, seems a pretty extreme escalation.

EDIT: Yeah, no movement from the Disco. my bad.

Discovery Series 2 brake lights are up high and definitely working (as seen later on in the clip) but don't come on at all as the cars follow the course of the road round to the left. This makes me think, like the two above, that the BMW thought the outside lane split into 2 lanes and not the inside lane - which is where the BMW should have been if it needed the same lane that the Discovery took.

Massive overreaction from the BMW driver but the Discovery driver's reactions don't look to be too sharp either.
