I always pop my headlights on before overtaking, especially if my car is road-coloured. Might even use full beams during the day if I'm not in danger of dazzling anyone.

With cars moving over nicely and the driver making excellent progress.

And the driver going far too quickly through small gaps in moving traffic, drive like that here and you won't pass the driving course.

It's poor form, half of those cars he passed had no idea he was there.

Quite a few in this comp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aO25tEIAiYM - some of them have been on here before but there is one in particular - 7.08 - in which a shorter version was shown here and it caused quite some debate*; this version has a lot of build up which may help explain things the earlier-posted clip doesn't.

*Guy in a Megane has an argy-bargy with a moped (DC'er) which results in the moped speeding off; guy gives chase and collides with an innocent party at some traffic lights.
Where was the accident?

Can you link to the longer clip?
Collision happens off camera - the moped goes around the roundabout and comes back they way he came - just as he comes off the rb you see the innocent black car with its front bumper off - theory is the Megan’s was chasing the bike, and collided with the other car at the lights whilst trying to overtake/squeeze through, and made off. The original (and much shorter iirc) clip was posted here several months ago.

Pretty sure it was exactly the same clip. The one you posted happens to include other clips from other bikers and doesn't add anything new to that incident as far as I'm concerned.

I'm hapy to stand corrected if proven otherwise.

Wow, No debating who’s at fault there. Glad no serious injuries.
Easiest for the insurance co but I always take the view that every other road user is out to kill me and try to spoil their fun, The white car is edging to the centre line and if it is clear for the silver car its clear for the white one so it was fractionally predictable.
If I had been the silver car would I have been hit, oh yes, can we learn from this, yep don't drive in Wales.

Thanks, you do hear a noise as the bike approaches the traffic lights but I couldn’t work out what it was. Presumably the Megane gets quickly to the roundabout before the bike doubles back up the road.

I'm pretty sure they knew he was there, it's not hard to miss a flipping ambulance sirens blazing and all that.

His driving seemed fine, they are trained to drive evasively through traffic and this shows in the video. Everybody caried on with business and the ambulance got to its destination on time without any issues. Probably even saved a life by getting there so fast.

Eh? He hardly blocked him in. Are you supposed to slam the anchors on every time someone puts on a signal to move in front of you? The Jeep could easily have just accelerated a bit to move cleanly in front.

Camera car had a decent view of the lorry in lane 1 they were both approaching so the desire for the jeep to move over into L2 could be seen way before he even indicated.
Come across that all the time, providing L3 is clear I'd move over and let them out. However I also wouldn't personally just have sat on someones offside like that as it's easy for someone to either miss you or just pull into your path.

So no, I suppose technically the camera car didn't have to do anything but there's just being "right" and being considerate.

Like I say, 6 of one etc. etc.

Disagree, rude tt whose sole intention was to get a DCW shot and be a pain in the arse. Slam on the anchors ?, you're having a larrf mate

The standards of drivers these days is truly dreadful, whatever happened to manners ?

If someone is indicating to merge in, just lift off the throttle for a few seconds to create a couple of car lengths gap and let them in, simples!

It makes absolutely no difference to your journey time, and mentally promotes a feeling of well being for all parties involved.

Just because you don't legally have to let someone in doesn't mean you shouldn't.
