That's absolutely disgraceful. Really makes my blood boil that does, absolute bellends of the highest order. I hope that makes its way to police who deal with them, you don't block a lane because you think it's closed, unfortunately this behaviour is often seen on approach to merge in turns. Knobs of the highest order, police marksmen on bridges would sort it out.
I’ll never understand the mentality of people like this. Get the fk out of the way.
Absolutely shocking, think I might have lost my cool there.
I suspect I may have too. It would be no less than he deserved for the other driver to have turned the dashcam off, relieve him of his keys, and launch them across the opposite carriageway. He'd not be able to stop anyone passing then!
Without his keys wouldn't he be rather effective at stopping everyone behind him? scratchchin

Never you mind

As for that tt in the BMW who jumped the queue when he cut into the keep clear gap obviously couldn't handle being beeped at, how can people do massively ttish things and then not be able to cope with being called a tt.
I was half hoping the cam car would have smashed in its back end tbh. I hate drivers like that, there's no excuse for it. What exactly do they expect to happen half the time? Oh it's OK, they'll manage to stop when I brake check them... Or not. They need a shoeing.
Cool stary bra and all that but I once saw someone brake check a truck (Where the M25 meets the M1 North). Didn't end well for the brake checker. Christ knows what they thought the outcome of brake checking a truck travelling a 50MPH would be.

What a that Kia driver was! I've had this before, once I did manage to squeeze on by. That pleased them!
I think you're all being taken in by the dashcam warrior. Notice the cut In the editing at the end where it tries to make it look like all the traffic on the left was stopped for no reason

We never did get to see why all the traffic was stationery because it was edited out.

Till I know I reserve judgement on whether the KIA was right or wrong to hold the traffic up.

What possible reason could they have for blocking 2 empty lanes off ?

The idiot in the Kia hadn't noticed the 40 on he gantry as he was too busy trying to police the motorway network all by himself.

From the licencing side of things yes, but as you say at the end point the power is unlimited. It's true that the same applies for cars, but anything with equivalent performance is out of reach for 99% of the population, and will be safer in an accident. A quick look on the government website says 1% of traffic but 19% of deaths.

Looking at it from a purely statistical point of view, you have a form of motorised transport that is far more dangerous than any type of vehicle, and by it's very nature cannot have the same safety features as something on 4 wheels. The government is trying to push self driving cars in the name of safety, so if they become commonplace I wouldn't be surprised if anything over 125cc is outlawed for road use. It's not something I want (although I wish there were tighter regulations regarding exhaust noise, but that's another topic).
I suggest you look up the injury/death stats for bicycles. Do you think these should also be banned?

Your first paragraph is quite amusing as well, 99% of car drivers don't have access to high powered cars, and yet motorcycle traffic is only 1% of the total, so pretty much the same. Of course you may have just pulled those numbers from your arse...

Hence why I said motorised transport, since bicycles are almost impossible to regulate or legislate. Are you suggesting that 99% of bikers cannot afford to by and run a sports or superbike, since that's what I stated in my first paragraph? Accident stats were pulled from the official government site by the way.

I was more visualising the hundreds of cars he'd held up driving around him, giving him the coffee beans one by one. He probably wouldn't feel so clever then laugh

I think it was a ghost hold up, where there is no incident, but for some reason people brake, the one behind does etc etc and you have the domino effect and it all comes to a grinding halt. Often come across them north of Brum on the M6, guess we have been caught in some.

What ever it was the KIA has absolutely no right to do what he did, just being a tt.

Nothing on the gantry indicated a lane closure, just reduced to 40 mph

rofl there was no "right" to block the lanes of traffic. Unless you're one of those that sees it as "pushing in" if people use all the road. (Edit - that's the "royal you" julian not you specifically!)

I am amazed that guy didn't get filled in, do people have no sense of self-preservation?

ETA I shouldn’t laugh at one of them, but I did.

Again its just people that cant handle being called a dhead after they have been a dhead, why is everyone such a soft arse nowadays, do they go home and cry to mummy that someone beeped them.

As for the cyclist in the 2nd clip, he is in the left lane and the ranger is in the right lane, the cyclists lane is closed off by roadworks, nothing in the rangers lane so the cyclist just pulls out and then blames the ranger driver for getting too close, are you not meant to check there is space to do so before changing lanes?

Ditto. I hope that after the claim was refused the Land Rover (?) driver pursued him for the costs of repairs.

Nah that's just guessing. I can do that. Just before dashcam warrior shows you the footage police guy in road is trying to push everyone left because of a hazard on the road. Some people obey. Some decide they know better and revert to the fast lane to make some ground up. When they reach the crash they push left thereby stopping everything that did pull over when told.

Truth is my version of events is no more valid that yours where the KIA driver appoints himself as hato for the day.

I just find it a little suspicious that dashcam worrior posts up footage which has been heavily edited and you lot swallow it as fact.

I disagree there tbh, very poor anticipation by the Ranger driver. Would have been very obvious that the cyclist would need to come out. The driver probably saw what was happening and tried to blast past before the cyclist pulled out as he knew he would have been forced to wait until the road widened out again.
