Going against the grain here. Indeed a great save by the bus driver, but he wouldn't have needed such a drastic swerve if he wasn't driving so fast in the snow IMO. Wasn't driving to the conditions.

i would argue that he was driving perfectly to the conditions until some retarded bampot threw him a curve ball and he handled that too.....

If the car hadn't pulled across and was just parked on the other side it may have been a similar outcome.

As in too fast for the conditions, yes.

Other than the moronic car driver, my first thought was how fast the bus was approaching.

Great save and all that but hopefully he was touching cloth after that and slowed down a bit.

I'd not seen it. I expected it to be one of those 'yeah, but what lead up to it' ones, but no. The Civic driver is a complete prick, the bikes position in the road was fine. It's terrible that Essex police haven't charged him with dangerous driving and some sort of assault, all the evidence required to in that video.

So many fools. Like lemmings jumping from a cliff.
Including the driver, using a mobile phone in the snow and worst of all shooting vertical video.

Vertical video is the real crime here, agreed!

Video is gone but I assume it was someone recording idiots who had crashed in todays snow. I personally had a great 60 mile run to work (once my nav worked out what was going on). Had two free lanes to myself all the way to london as everyone else was stuck in the middle two lanes (well possibly the middlw two as there was too much snow to see any lane markings) because.....summer tyres.

On one hand it infuriates me that people can be so stupid and on the other hand I am grateful as providing they dont completely block the width of the motorway I can get around just fine.
Yup, camera car was in L2 of the A12 near Colchester (slow pace mind) filming the other carriageway in vertical orientation while driving, laughing at the idiots on the other carraigeway steaming into a multi-car pileup. At one point you could hear someone going into the back of something!

There was a great clip on the news yesterday of some silly sod in a Kia Sorento falling off the road and ending up on it's side, dash cam shows him accelerating up to 30mph on a straight road and losing it in the snow. I'll try and find it.

Exactly. stty icy conditions with low visibility. The guy couldn't stop in the distance he could see. Great save though.
