Is this dangerous or am I being a snowflake?
DCW in the wrong lane for first half of clip- inconsiderate, not dangerous.
DCW then gets upset when as a result of being in the wrong lane someone passes him on the left and flashes lights- stupid, but not in itself dangerous.
DCW Accelerates when he sees the Civic indicating - Now that is dangerous
Other guy brake tests DCW- now that IS dangerous, regardless of obvious provocation.

So- two plonkers met. Howzat?
Edited that for you

Final clip is from a guy who claims his motorway blow-out 2 days later was due to the parking agent's excessive speed over the speed humps, which I'm calling BS on. PA is guilty on tapping the back of that X3 at the end of the video but it's at such low speed there would have been minimal marks (but granted, still not great). But no way was his speed through the car park excessive to the point of making a tyre dangerous.

IF you were in a Blue Polo this am and the BMW who took out his wing mirror against your car did any damage, this might be useful for the claim. Apologies as I had no time to stop as was late for a meeting, but here you go for what it's worth, if it helps.

Normally find it a bit irritating when posters edit others' posts for comic effect etc- but in this case you are spot on, I did not originally notice the 'let's deliberately make it a close call to give him a fright ' acceleration.cool

Nice of the cammer to stop and offer the footage. rolleyes

Pretty much guaranteed that lorry is a left hand drive, negotiating roundabouts like that is their trademark.

Bellend DCW speeding up as he saw the car making the overtake - by that point the overtaker was committed.

DCW reduced the (already very low) margin of safety to nil, turning what would be a very sketchy pass into an unavoidable crash.

Calls him a name, clicks his camera and then smashes into him.

Can't help but think he'd have done better to notice the car coming up behind him, lift off and get ready to slow or evade.

I really don’t see it that way at all. SUV was waaaaay too late to overtake, imho.

yes More and more it seems to be the default reaction to being overtaken and something to be factored in to any overtake these days

It was a stupidly late overtake by the SUV, but the nose of the Mercedes definitely lifts at 8 seconds and the engine note changes.

I don’t doubt you, but unless the Merc accelerated like Lewis Hamilton, which it didn’t appear to, I just don’t see how the SUV ever thought that overtake would come off.....

.....unless the Merc should have slowed?......
Just shooting the breeze, btw. Both are cocks.

I don't think that's accurate at all. Looks like BMW loses control after he's overtaken cam car, cam car calls him a fking prick (rightly so) as the BMW is inevitabley about to crash, BMW crashes bounces off the armco back into lane 1 into the path of cam car. Dash cam has automatically saved footage because it's got a gyroscope in it which detects an impact, hence it beeping.

What on earth was the cam car supposed to do? From the moment the BMW was ahead of cam car it took 3 seconds for it to have crashed and spun out. If cam car slammed on the brakes (It looks like he applied his brakes but I can't tell for certain) he would have likely not avoided the collision anyway.

I don't make a habit of defending cammers but I don't think I would of been able to avoid that either given how quickly it all happened. I would of probably called the BMW much worse too.

Yes of course, because he knew exactly what was going to happen.

yes very much so. l have no sympathy for the SUV and I've no doubt that the DCW will misjudge it one day and find his Mercedes to be a little shorter in the boot department as a result.

People seem to hate letting others pull in front of them when driving.
It's a massive issue for people when someone dares to pass them and often in situations it's not necessarily the person overtaking who's caused the issue. Yes, so you will get the odd person who goes, 'I can fit in there' and squeezes into a space, bit annoying but unless they cause you to brake sharply, not really an issue.

The other day, I was on the A23 where it opens into two lanes. I can see a gap up ahead so I move into lane 2 and pass the first car, I accelerated and headed for a perfectly decent sized gap ahead. The traffic slowed at the merge point but I was in a good position, hadn't troubled anyone except Mr Ford Fusion decided that merging in wasn't going to be easy. Tries to drive up the side of me and then flashing when I'm actually in front.

It was a reasonable pass, the difficulty merging was engineered by him accelerating to squeeze me out because he didn't like that I'd passed. It was literally no inconvenience to him at all. Struck me as the type to have dashcam and moan about every other driver when he's creating such situations!

Yeah, I can't really tell if the Merc accelerated or not, if he did, clearly a tit but if you watch the SUV after the first impact, he then carries on in very erratic fashion on the roundabout almost hitting another car by the look of it. Makes me wonder if it was stolen to be driving like that.
