I saw a red BMW and was pretty shocked as German cars seem to only come in black, white and grey. It looked pretty good.

Cayman is a great car - but aren't there any in a colour?

Silver/grey/black is just boring IMHO. And a car like that deserves better!
A friend has one in Viper Green. Much better.

Can't wait to read it. Always ready for the next laugh, even if it is at the afflicted! I can't imagine what it must take in mentality to get so irritated by someones choice of wheel colour.
Jeez.
You two are a couple of teenage girls when you get going.

It’s a good job there isn’t something important the majority of people disagree with you about.

Get over the fact that you are not cool kids and not neareveryone likes your choice invwherl colour.

You can get them in bright colours. Bright red, some cool torquise, yellow. There’s a great orange called lava but think that’s only on GT cars. Not sure.

Miami blue works well on the Cayman, I think. Try to ignore the hideous wheels.

Didn't realise we'd met? Aren't you now just as bad as you say we are with the comments you've just made?

" Get over the fact that you are not cool kids ". Gold.

Seems I like Black wheels! MX5 is now sold replaced with a GB270 which has black wheels as standard:

I’ll have to take your word for it that those are OZ’s as I’m reading this on a phone and there’s zero definition.

I hadn’t thought about it before, until reading some of the comments, but black wheels are actually invisible to the eye until you get close enough. They could be a set of lightweight magnesium race alloys or a dodgy set of 90’s 3spokes and you just can’t tell from a normal distance.

It seems a waste of nice alloys to me.

Indeed, probably lovely wheels if OZs but they look like knackered old steelies from here.

Bronze? Jesus. I feel better about my choice every time I visit this thread!
The satin black is GTS standard. If you want gloss, platinum or silver, you have to pay for them at £400+

I’m not brave enough for bronze wheels smile

I do agree!
This was my last one, in Carmine red smile
None of the other colours floated my boat and GT silver is loveley.
As I’ve never had silver, or black wheels, I took the plunge.

I didn’t mean to be boring frown

Honda have some balls, whilst VW and Mercedes cater for monotonous middle classes, Honda let a 6 year old design it and two fingers up to other manufacturers.
Doesn’t mean it works though smile
Of course it works. The folk who think they look great (yup, that's me) are buying them, sales are strong, every single motoring magazine who have reviewed the car put it at the top of the hot-hatch pile and then the bunch of folk who don't like the looks are still talking and commentating about the car. That's got to be a win / win for Honda.
I was talking about the looks, not the performance.

It's not a question of bravery, it's just wrong imo. Whatever people want to say about black wheels ( and they've said it all on here! ), bronze or white are about as bad as it gets for me. smile

huh? unlikely...I don't have any...I'm not cool enough. People can easily see my wheels so I'm segregated... hehe

As I've said, for me, unless you have a completely black car, an all black wheel, especially satin or matt in finish is the ultimate in ugly...for an option on modern motors, to pay for it to look worse is mind boggling...

Gunmetal, anthracite, provides enough contrast, whilst still allowing a design to shine through.

Well I did say "as I said " so it's no surprise that I said it again...

I can only add that wow... it's worthy of a "wow"

I'd be grateful to be educated by those more hip than me as to what a car that's completely black is called though?

A completely black car.
